Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

Financially doped now and they will be in the future, two seasons is not enough.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

He's a brilliant player because while he is a wide player he makes runs a striker would and is a natural goal scorer. Although he is quite small he is also quite strong so can out muscle defenders. I like him too because he's not very flash, when people say a player has no end product Bowen appears ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Really wanted Bowen at Spurs, very decent signing if West Ham do it. Can’t believe Palace are getting Ferguson as well.

These are the deals that really seem to pay off when it comes to improving a club.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Bentaleb would get in the current Spurs midfield no problem. His attitude is the only thing that has held him back, very excited to see him in the premiership again.

Re: Ooh, you are awful: Emery fired (non WHU)

Arsenal fans hounded out Wenger, sung they had 'their Arsenal back', then hounded out Emery a few months later.

Silly Sausages.

Re: Pochettino leaves Spurs. (Mourinho confirmed)

I can’t believe CL is needed to pay for the stadium simply because planning and indeed construction began long before we were anywhere near on a regular basis. Indeed in the early days Levy always said the stadium was being build so we could eventually challenge the top four, Pochettino performed mi...

Re: Pochettino leaves Spurs. (Mourinho confirmed)

Still feels wrong. We were so lucky to have Pochettino, yes results had tailed off, but I felt we were just at the end of a cycle and things needed to be rebuilt. Obviously Levy didn’t quite see it like that and wants to use Mourinho to drag an extra season or two out of this group. Short term I hav...

Re: Declan Rice

I think he's really good but it doesn’t surprise me he's picking up a lot of the same abuse Dier used to get. He's a converted CB just like Dier, as such he doesn’t have a particularly flashy set of skills, people tend not to like that even if you do a good job in a dull position. I’d love him at Sp...

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

Spurs will lose. I'm usually always optimistic but whatever is happening right now Spurs look shambolic. I think people are being very kind expecting Spurs to turn up and roll West Ham over, we have not done that to anyone for close to a year. If you think how Spurs played in the 0-1 at Spurs last s...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

I know this is about a wider issue than one result but if Spurs lose tomorrow, Daniel Levy will undoubtably get the same treatment by some Spurs fans. Yet he won't kick a single ball or coach the team. I never really understand it West Ham have a better squad than Newcastle don't they? Spurs have in...

Mane is amazing at 'winning' these kind of penalties.

Same against Leicester last week. He's an expert.

Re: CL/Euro games this week

Think it’s all down to squad harmony in reality I agree. I feel for Levy, he's basically allowed key players who refuse to sign new deals to run their contracts down to give Pochettino the best squad he can, now no one seems to want those players anyway (Rose, Alderwiereld, Eriksen). With hindsight ...

Re: CL/Euro games this week

I’m very much Pochettino in, there is no way to escape questions after you lose 7-2 at home though that’s just how football is.

We actually played quite well in the first half hour, bizarrely enough. Must say BM's finishing was insanely good.

West Ham and Leicester better than both of these and have no European football to distract them.

Top 6 should be on for both.

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

Thing is, that Jackson Pollock is appearing. This West Ham squad is well crafted. Clever use of free transfers to get value and experience, good young 'big money' signings from Europe who can only improve. Youth players coming through. Picking off good players from relegated teams. Top level manager...
