Re: Gods of Snooker

IronIlunga, Ronnie O'Sullivan has a well-known history of mental health problems related directly and indirectly to his snooker career. I would never dispute someone suggesting they have mental health issues. However, it is possible to be a creep and odious and also suffer with mental health proble...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Like we sometimes have to do to attract the best players we can buy you mean? In which case, we may as well not even bother competing. People come to a club such as ours for one thing. Money. As with player recruitment we must never recruit a manager based solely on money - that’s how you end up wi...

Certainly not bottom 4!

I think it’s fair to say that if we were in and around the top 10 we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation. However, following the massive investment over the Summer even Moyes himself will accept the speculation.

Experts have provided Harry Kane with pictorial evidence of how long he would need to stay at the club before he wins something.

Re: Gods of Snooker

Ive said it before and I’ll doubtless say it again but i don’t think there is a more odious person in sport than Ronnie O’Sullivan. It is absolutely shameful how much he digs out the sport that has given him everything and I’m utterly astonished at how much of a free pass he gets from fans of the sp...

Re: WC of WH Players: Group 25

This more than any group will be determined by how people have defined ‘like’. If it was only about quality then there is no contest, but it isnt….

Ps. Regardless of what has gone on since I have to vote Rio. He is in the top three players I saw at the BG.

clubs like Montpellier or Lille, considered as smaller ones, managed to win the league in spite of their archaic facilities Yep. I can’t get steamed up about this issue. I would be concerned if we had inferior medical staff to other clubs but I’m sure the facilities are more than adequate. Let’s be...

Re: Beer banned

Honestly, I don't have a problem with them not serving beer, it's part of their culture. By selling it in the corporate areas it's quite comical how open they are about their Islamic values being for sale though, and obviously banning it at this late stage is shambolic. This So sell tickets first, ...

Has Jimmy Collins cropped up yet? There has to be place for him in the next round.

Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).

So sorry for your loss Combs. As others have said please try and reach out for support and don’t be alone with your thoughts if they are negative - let them out to others, either on here or to people you know or to a helpline, counsellor or someone else. Its going to take time - don’t isolate yourse...

Re: January 2023 Transfer Window

why would we sell benrahma when he is our best player . I havent been a fan but he is winning me over. the only one who looks half awake ! Moyes doesn’t fancy him and I think thats becoming an issue. I would compare Benrahma, consistency wise, with Diop. Great on their day but not enough ‘days’. I’...

I’d sell sell him, Soucek and Johnson if we received acceptable bids and could reinvest in a top number 10 and a couple of loans with an option. Our midfield options would then be Paqueta, Rice, Downes, Lanzini, Fornals and Coventry.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The Stick or Twist poll is quite intriguing, I'm encouraged with the amount of people voting Stick. I thought the vast majority would be Twist, but it's much closer than I imagined. I wonder how many of those who voted twist might now change their vote to stick after having time to reflect. The pol...

Re: Declan Rice

I agree, but I think this is on Moyes, not Rice. Oh undoubtedly. Its easy to forget that Rice is still only 23 and I am sure he wants to be all things to this team. It is Moyes job to reign him in. Rice sitting and Paqueta playing in a slightly more advanced role alongside him is the answer imo.
