Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

With the club having sabotaged our season for the second January in 3 years I do think we as a fanbase are owed some form of explanation as to why when we are on the brink of advancing the club implodes. We all buy tickets and merch to line the clubs pockets so I think we are entitled to a degree mo...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Not if the owners are holding the wallet close to chest until Steidten and new manager are ready so spend in summer I can understand how you might come to that conclusion but to me it makes no sense. How many more opportunities is our current chairman at the age of 75 going to get to elevate the cl...

I’d be very happy if he stayed but if we get offered 85mil you would bite their hand off. Based on nothing at all I don’t think City will come in for him again and if they do it won’t be at that price.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If there is one thing I would like to understand West Ham related it is last January and the January several seasons back when we were also in Europa. Both times we self sabotaged our season. In the 21/22 season I placed the blame squarely at Moyes feet. What an opportunity to add one or two for a C...

Re: Where will we finish?

Realistically I think it’s West Ham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Man Utd competing for places 6th-9th.

I think we have to beat Palace and Fulham to be part of the conversation for 6th. Otherwise I think our trajectory is increasingly looking like 8th or 9th.

Chin up!

We could go 6th this weekend and after recently thrashing one German club 5-0 we now only need 3 to get past another.

Winning is what Moyes does

It would be between him and Big Sam if I was casting a a real life biopic about Bully from Bullseye. Who would I cast as Jim Bowen and Tony Green? probably De Niro and Pesci.

I’m also pretty sure Ange snores.

Macca1973 wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 10:24 pm Not piling in on Moyes after that performance. The players gave their all, I think we were tactically sound, we just ran out of steam. That’s the issue, they have an outstanding squad, we have about 14 good players, 2 of whom were missing tonight.
Decent post Macca 👍

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I might be in the minority but I don’t think that’s a catastrophic result. No Alvarez, no Bowen and away from home against arguably the best team in Europe.

Under the lights at home, Alvarez back - we’ve half a chance.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

You say Moyes wants to play differently, then why aren’t we? Is it entirely out of his control? I think he would like to but he is also a pragmatist. We are currently sandwiched between Newcastle and Man Utd in the table - two of the richest clubs in the world. That cannot be consistently achieved ...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

Meanwhile in The Championship it looks like nobody wants to win it!! Leicester and Leeds fail to win, with Ipswich losing at the weekend… At the other end Birmingham are second bottom - what a calamitous season they are having! Hovering around 6th with ten games gone, sack the manager and now face r...

Rather than looking down let’s look up. We are level on points with Man Utd who play Liverpool next and also have to play Arsenal.

On day 18 without booze. I've also cut out bread, cheese (except for shredded cheese in my omelette), pastries, bad carbs, refined sugars & processed foods in general. Which is really tough at my work. Nice work! I found rubbish food was a byproduct of booze and a requirement to soak it up. In ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Change can be bittersweet yet necessary for growth. Will go down as legendary in the future but the summer feels like the right time. Touch of the old Delboys about it if you ask me. Perhaps a portion of the fanbase crave the struggle again after years of success. Perhaps some consider that being s...

Undoubtedly. In doing so we would virtually end Wolves chances of top 7 given that we would be six points ahead of them and they have to play the top 3 in their remaining games.
