Because I don’t see you calling out Paqueta or Bowen for doing the same?

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

He'll probably take Bowen's place in the England squad. The final nail in this season's coffin most likely. Which based on his form if it's between them two then he deserves to be on the plane ahead of Bowen. Not that Bowen did anything wrong just there's a lot of competition in those positions. Pi...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

If Ings and Antonio are to play together they need to work on their communication. There were a few occasions yesterday when they were making the same runs. Most likely due to the fact teams dont play with two up top anymore - they are used to being lone strikers. This means they will instinctively...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

That is what now. 4 wins in 19 games in 2024. We have run out of depth and options which the manager has to take part of the blame. We are reliant on antonio up top for the the whatever season in a row. It looks like our European run is potentially coming to an end. We need huge investment in the su...

I think if we were not to get into Europe next season it might not actually be the worst for us....
It will as the quality of player we can attract will be far lower.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I disagree entirely, the longer the game went on the more comfortable we looked, personally I was confident they wouldn't score. And then they did from a miss hit. The truth is their players kept the ball better than ours and would have done that if we had played a low block or not. If I see a prob...

Re: Where will we finish?

Go put some money on that, you'd earn a fortune. Bournemouth are 6 points behind us. But it’s quite realistic. We could easily fold up this season due to being burnt out. We are relying on us getting ahead early at this point as we will run out of steam end of the games without any subs who can mak...

Re: ✍️ Lukasz Fabianski signs

Made some good saves that I would expect a keeper to make.

At the time I wondered if Areola would have saved the first goal.

We will never know.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

In the end 2-0 was a lucky escape. Could have been far worse had we conceded earlier. As soon as they got one you knew the second was coming and luckily time ran out before a third. Lack of depth has killed any chance we had. They will know what to do second leg. Returning back to reality next seaso...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

Disagree, a super league kills these games. The reason they are so good is partly because of the significance of them, you won’t get many league games like tonight. Yes we can see that. But the agenda that can be pushed will use this as an example. The casual tourist will see the score and lap it up.

Re: Formula1

The gap between Ferarri, McLaren, Mercedes and Alonso is gearing up to be a good fight. Which is great but same time no body watches to see who come 3rd. This year has got even worse when I thought it would actually be better. The only saviour of F1 right now is the rule changes in 2026 because it ...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

Quite! To be fair the ref did well not to instinctively 'give it' and wait for VAR which is what I suspect would happen in our league Which happens a lot now but not consistent. Our game vs wolves the ref was quick to blow and make a call - which as I say meant it wouldn’t get overturned if it was ...

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

Can't imagine Fabianski or Areola getting away with one of those in the prem If the ref give it do they overturn it is the question. Thing is I think var could look at that and book saka for trying to con the ref but again it’s opinion and not fact. Both games though unfortunately give a reason for...
