Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Tonight was a show of how we can play if said manager would let us play.

He was the reason we had to chase the game today.

Freiberg away we gave far too much respect. Same applies here.

This is why people want Moyes out.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

The ref was one the of the worse I have seen. Totally bent as a nine Bob note. We were poor in the 1st leg but tonight we were outstanding and our players were dead on their feet, but if the ref had been even remotely competent and nautral who knows what the final outcome would have been. Antonio w...

I’m more annoyed about Joe Cole saying owners have done a great job.

They were the reason we lost tonight.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Antonio will likely get fined (he shouldn't) for correctly calling it as he saw it. " It was 11 against 12, actually 14 when you include the linos" It really wasn’t. The ref perhaps made a few bad calls but antonio threw himself to the ground as he always does and refs are used to it. The...

It’s amazing reading how people see things different. The ref was average.

The difference in that game was subs.

Super proud of the boys :hammc:
It was like freiberg all over again.

Let the shackles off we are great to watch. But we lost because we had the shackles on first leg

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

I don’t think the ref was that bad. Antonio fell to the floor to easily as he has done for the last few years. Ultimately Moyes/sullivan are to blame as we had no subs to change the game. Imagine having a replacement for antonio or our wingers 60 mins in. Even fornals or Benni would have been helpfu...

Imagine having Fornals or Benni on the bench.

It’s Been fun but now it’s the end the fun.

Showed them far Too much respect first leg. They are nothing special.

Imagine if we had some subs.

We are out of steam. We need a game changing moment to pick our players up for one last push.

Re: Midweek Games April 9-11

He'll probably take Bowen's place in the England squad. The final nail in this season's coffin most likely. Which based on his form if it's between them two then he deserves to be on the plane ahead of Bowen. Not that Bowen did anything wrong just there's a lot of competition in those positions. Pi...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

If Ings and Antonio are to play together they need to work on their communication. There were a few occasions yesterday when they were making the same runs. Most likely due to the fact teams dont play with two up top anymore - they are used to being lone strikers. This means they will instinctively...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

That is what now. 4 wins in 19 games in 2024. We have run out of depth and options which the manager has to take part of the blame. We are reliant on antonio up top for the the whatever season in a row. It looks like our European run is potentially coming to an end. We need huge investment in the su...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I disagree entirely, the longer the game went on the more comfortable we looked, personally I was confident they wouldn't score. And then they did from a miss hit. The truth is their players kept the ball better than ours and would have done that if we had played a low block or not. If I see a prob...

Re: Where will we finish?

Go put some money on that, you'd earn a fortune. Bournemouth are 6 points behind us. But it’s quite realistic. We could easily fold up this season due to being burnt out. We are relying on us getting ahead early at this point as we will run out of steam end of the games without any subs who can mak...

Made some good saves that I would expect a keeper to make.

At the time I wondered if Areola would have saved the first goal.

We will never know.
