Re: Rivalries

Depends really.

For the club I'd guess;
Millwall
Sp*rs
Chelsea

For me being from Essex;
Sp*rs
Chelsea
Millwall

Couldn't give a **** about Sheff Utd.

Re: Old memories of Man utd

The 4-0 in the snow. Few of us sitting in the Black Lion with a Manc fan and seeing the team come up on the TV and debating whether to bother even going. The Manc certain they would stuff us, and us not disagreeing TBF.

The rest is history. He wasn't so cocky when we got back to the pub :D

Re: Was the Atmosphere more positive Saturday

am i isolated in thinking the issue isnt the fans, but the dreadful acoustics you can see several, large groups of fans trying to get things going, but the noise just doesnt travel at all the place is just too big I agree, but many continue to keep saying it is all about the fans or the players and...

To add salt to the wound....my mate who is in the corporates x2 and band 1 x5 has 7 seats for Oxford and Bournemouth confirmed. He probably wont even use them . Been happening for 2 years now. Glad people are starting to cotton on!! The club call ALL of these members before the tickets are allocate...

Getting smashed from about 10.30am in the Flat Iron as we were not really expecting anything but another loss after about 10 years of going just in case we won, rather than any expectation and being let down every year. My mate saying in the pub he would be jacking in doing as many aways as they let...

Re: Newport state of mind - roughest places we've played

I’d say Birmingham would be #1. Not specifically down to the area though - their old bill, supporters, ground, and location all in one festering horrible turd. Said it before I could. I ****ing hate Birmingham the place and the people. Easy to get lost round there to. Birmingham away League game fe...

Of their owners when compared to our, yes absolutely. Also the redeveloped Molineux looks very good in the photos far better than our athletics track bodge job.

Can't say I'm envious of anything else though, especially not location and accent.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Who has done the better business? Who has the lower net spent? Who would you rather have? I'd rather have both - the better business and a "next level" higher net spend. But to some on here it's treated as a black and white, either/or scenario which simply isn't the case. Anything to defend the own...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

People need to stop getting obsessed with Net Spend. It is a bit of a red herring. I expect the league table this season will correlate closely with net spend/wages spent over the last few years (Sp*rs being the exception that proves the rule, Man City and Liverpool proving it). A newly promoted te...

It's just another sport that just needs to be embraced over here.

If the Premier League took a few games to the States that would be awesome, just imagine watching West Ham vs Spurs, in Vegas... ****ing epic.

I was fortunate enough to be there after years of thinking this would be the year only to witness us capitulate and let me down again, so I totally agree.

Sums up why I'll never bother traveling with England even when some mates do. Too many morons.

At least the players don't seem like total tossers for the first time in years. At least have some pride in them now.

You genuinely think Sullivan only put the bid in for Batshuayi because he knew that Batshuayi would turn us down? Why would he bother? Because he could say we were ambitious and tried to sign Batshuayi/Gomes, so appearing like he was showing ambition to placate the more naive, when in fact he had n...
