Just can’t see Moyes dropping the captain for a must win game at home. As much as Noble needs to stand down for a bit. Moyes just won’t do it. Especially with no Soucek.
Don't disagree, but that's what I'd play.

Re: Your HOTY

Just to add, I'll find it bizarre if Ogbonna wins HOTY, following on from Fabianski last season. We consistenly moan about how poor our defence is and how many goals we concede, yet to have a GK and then potentially a Defender win HOTY does seem odd. Probably because only 1 of the back 5 seems to p...

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham United:Match thread (24/02)

Did Anderson do enough? I don’t like the way he bottles out of challenges And allows opposition players sprint past him, and seems to always goes for the easy pass rather than take some creative responsibility. The only players who didn't really perform IMO were Anderson, Fabianski and Noble who de...

Much better tonight. Amazing what you can do when you actually set the team out to try and attack. Big game Saturday will have to take the game to them rather than counter.

Well today's line-up seems more positive. Having Anderson back will be a massive bonus
It is. I hope it's more attempting to become a 4-3-3 rather than being so deep we cannot get out of 4-5------------1

Re: "Lets go @@@@ing mental" , most radio rental goal celebration

Surprisingly thought at least the first 2 when we won at Anfield were quite muted given the circumstances. I think everyone must have been in shock. Only when the 3rd went in did I actually think we would win, so that was quite a mental one to add :scarfer:

He makes all the right noises
I'd like it if he made the right actions and put out a team that tries to win a game and entertain the supporters, rather than just minimise the number of goals we lose by.

Re: "Lets go @@@@ing mental" , most radio rental goal celebration

Great question. Few that come to mind; Ipswich home PO semi final. Arsenal away last game at Highbury - any of the 3. Vaz Te Wembley play off final. Sp*rs at WHL 0-3 win - any of the 3. Maiga WHL in the cup a few weeks after the 0-3 win. Payet Old Trafford in the cup up in the gods. And Tevez goal a...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I disagree - I believe his plan was ugly but I'd imagine what he had in mind is for us to defend, release Antonio, and have Antonio play for a foul or corner... Then Snodgrass does his magic. Not inspirational at all, but thats what I think. Moyes basically admitted post-match it was about keeping ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

The possession in 2017 was identical. Difference was we scored from a corner instead of conceding from one. For all the talk of how we were battered, I don't remember Fabianski doing that much or it being appreciably different to any game at their place in the last seven or eight years. Every game ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

The same tactic had us 1-0 up at half time in 2017, and level with 7 minutes to go. From what I remember that City game we were not quite as defensive, but ok I will follow your point. What I do recall is we were lucky they were very profligate (like they were recently) which flatters us. You love ...

Moyes played a tactic which he thought would get the best opportunity of a result.
No he didn't. He played a tactic which he thought would get the best opportunity to restrict the number we lost by.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Actually, quite a few pros read club message boards, believe it or not. The media certainly do to “get a feel” for fan sentiment. That and Twitter, which has led to massive pressure on players and managers. A very small minority will, but no I do not believe you when you say quite a few pros read c...

I dunno if anyone here was in the military (apologies if so), but I certainly would want to be going into battle with some of you guys! We need to be showing some enthusiasm and optimism for the challenge ahead. Go to games home and away and support the team do you then? Do you ****, and have the c...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I think we should be able to beat Saints, draw Arsenal, beat or draw Wolves, beat Spurs, draw or beat Chelsea and beat Newcastle. That's 12-16 pts. If Moyes does not achieve that total you state he should be able to achieve, would you admit that run of games has been a failure by Moyes? Or would yo...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

It’s a bit out of context. He didn’t specifically say he isn’t ready for the PL at all. He said he doesn’t want to put additional pressure on him and I gather that means not starting him at Anfield and expecting the miracles to happen . That in itself isn’t an issue if we he goes with players like ...

I expect a different lineup against Liverpool. Antonio out, Sanchez in as DM. Probably Balbuena in for Snoddy.
I make you right. I think Moyes realised he ****ed up by going too attacking against City and will rectify that vs Liverpool.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

We all know that roughly 40 points keeps you in the Premier League but we also know that we are in a really tough period of games. Goal difference also comes into the thinking Ha ha ha He actually mentioned goal difference in his comments There is 12 games to go. 12. 36 points left for grabs and he...
