Re: Away support in the Home end?

I have no problem with away fans in home section if they keep there mouth shut and don't be disrespectful, done it plenty of times myself but always respect home crowd. I do when it is as many as we have. One reason the atmosphere is so dog **** it is because there are so many away fans/neutrals/to...

It'll go pop one day, and when it does, that's when the fans will regain the power and become important once more.
People have been saying that for years now....

I truly hope you are right though :thup:

Re: Amazon

What makes match day going fans more important in that aspect? Why can't there be a happy medium? Sadly at the moment the armchair supporter is more important than the matchday going fan. The Amazon boxing day games perfectly highlight this. And to me, the matchday going away supporter is more impo...

Re: Amazon

And if people stopped shopping at Tesco than the local Butcher and Greengrocer would open up again. And if people stopped shopping at Amazon then Woolworths could open again on the high street. And if people stopped using Netflix, we might see the return of Blockbuster. And if people stopped using ...

Re: Amazon

Yep, it's definitely the fans fault, that modern football is f*cked. It is the fault of those who pay Sky, BT, etc, not the matchday going supporter that modern football is ****ed. Sorry if that doesn't sit well, but is is the reality. If armchair fans stop paying for football on TV then Sky, BT, A...

Re: Amazon

The genie is well and truly out of the bottle as far as TV fixtures are concerned. The only concern is the armchair viewer. It's too late to moan about it now. If you subscribe to Sky and or BT, it's on you. Well said. People might not like it, but the reality is if you are paying Sky, BT, etc you ...

Re: Anyone else envious of Wolves? (non WHU)

As long as they need. Things change in business all the time. They've definitely earned that level of patience. I think they’ll eventually sell to some rich foreigner who will buy and redevelop the ground or maybe even level it and start again. It won’t happen anytime soon though. Certainly not in ...

You have a proven manager who wants to refresh the squad, instead you choose to let it stagnate and then change the manager instead.
Cheaper that way. From the Dave Sullivan club chairman playbook.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I don't see any problem with the owners selling the club at a profit, they are business men at the end of the day. They are obviously very cautious, and with good reason i.e the Icelanders and the QPR. If you look at Liverpool for example, they were bought purely by venture capitalists looking for ...

Has he taken us as far as he can? No, but he has taken us as far as he wants to (Stratford and clinging on in the Premier League gravy train with as little investment as possible without spending the BG profits).

Depends really.

For the club I'd guess;
Millwall
Sp*rs
Chelsea

For me being from Essex;
Sp*rs
Chelsea

The 4-0 in the snow. Few of us sitting in the Black Lion with a Manc fan and seeing the team come up on the TV and debating whether to bother even going. The Manc certain they would stuff us, and us not disagreeing TBF.

The rest is history. He wasn't so cocky when we got back to the pub :D

Re: Newport state of mind - roughest places we've played

I’d say Birmingham would be #1. Not specifically down to the area though - their old bill, supporters, ground, and location all in one festering horrible turd. Said it before I could. I ****ing hate Birmingham the place and the people. Easy to get lost round there to. Birmingham away League game fe...
