Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

The more I see him the more I feel he hasn't got what is needed in the English game. He's not nasty enough he's not tough enough, barely wins his share of headers and on the deck he's too often caught on his heels. He could quite easily take some heat off us in retreat by being more positive in his ...

Couldn't even connect with that shot in the first half.
Can't blame a bobble either.
Summed us up today.

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

I'm relieved that the margin was only 2. One thing thats so clear is the absolute lack of pace across the park. I realise that Liverpool were extreme in their work rate but without Antonio and Anderson we look pedestrian. Lanzini looks like he's being bullied most games as he cant go through the gea...

Re: George Levine: Amsterhammer

Really sad. When the message board changed in 02 I think it was, 4 members stuck out at that time..... Sicknote, Chalks, Frankie Mac and Amsterhammer. Seemed like a game of tennis such was the quantity of posts. Before you knew it their posts were in the 1000s. Good days. Met Amsterhammer during one...

Smash n grab 2 nil. They've been fortunate with us a few times up there. Fancy us to to sit tight nick one from a set play then icing on the cake late on. :crest:

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

It's hard to be hard to beat when your central midfield is an empty void. Moyes and Allardyce did set us up to be hard to beat, Moyes drew with Arsenal at home, Chelsea and Tottenham away and was accused of anti-football. Allardyce set us up to be hard to beat in every game and the fans didn't like...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Bournemouth: Match thread (01/01)

I want to see a reaction.
I want 100% from every player.
I want unbridled determination.
I want every ball to be challenged.
I want not to see players standing like gnomes.
I want a back 3.
I want a front 2.
I want a high tempo.

Give me that and I will not complain.

So we need a mobile hard working midfielder, a striker, a right back.

We have a budget of approx. 5 magic beans.

Moyes work your magic
Then we have 2 spare magic beans for another 2 players.

Re: Its not where you start, its where you finish

A perfect summary of our owners. **** all has changed except they're now mugging off 60,000 instead of 35,000. Quite why we are surprised by our consistency is beyond me. If I go back to when I first started supporting us we went down in 78. 41 years of the same. Does it matter who manages...... doe...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

I voted yes. The perpetual pickle we find ourselves in calls for a safety first approach. It's **** as usual. I see it as a temporary role until a real candidate pops up. Relegation may provide light relief from the annual humdrum of purely surviving in the top tier but it ain't the way forward. It ...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I've said this before but a good manager knows that, if you've got a big pile of **** and two slices of bread, then you make a **** sandwich. Looking at the pile of **** and wishing it was something else, isn't magically going to turn it into something edible. Sadly for us this is a project and not...

Re: Felipe Anderson

I remember listening to TalkSport (yeah, I know) last Summer the day that we signed him and they had one of their Italian correspondents on. He said that Anderson is a player who the Lazio crowd adore but are equally as frustrated with. His comment was that one game he will look like one of the gre...

Re: Robert Snodgrass signs

Your right, but I think Snoddy can play. He destroyed us while at Hull and the more we control games the more of that Snoddy we will see. He does the graft and puts a huge shift in buts that’s not his game, he’s reacting to the teams needs but at heart he is an old fashioned Scottish inside forward...
