Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Norwich City: Match Thread

Anderson MOTM but I thought both Diop and Rice looked back to their best today. Massuaku was excellent too. Delighted for Yarmolenko to get his goal, he always looks like hes going to score to me even when clearly not 100% fit. Could have been 5 or 6 today , a very professional performance by all th...

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

Ogbonna often gets a very hard time on here but he was very good today. Hes one of those players that people seem to always highlight his mistakes but overlook the good things he does.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)

Im suprised people see Wilshire has more of an attacking mid, Ive always seen him as a deep lying midfileder or a box to box CM. Southgate not long ago said much the same, but plenty on here have made their mind up on him , hes not tall enough and doesnt run around enough. If he gets close to his be...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)

In the second half he looked knackered and was rightly hooked for Snodgrass. He wasn’t up to the task, I like him as a player but my personal thoughts are he cannot put a shift in for 90 minutes. Maybe that’s down to being out of the game for large periods of time, I don’t know. I agree, I've got d...

At no point in the game did he get brushed off the ball, the only times he was dispossessed was when he was fouled and a freekick was given.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)

Any talk of a need for or lack of a DM next to Rice in relation to this match is an absolute fallacy. I've watched the game again and Rice wasn't left exposed at all , the only time he got into trouble was through his own doing. In fact Wilshire in the first half gave a very disciplined performance,...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Manchester City: Massacre Thread (10/8)

Not sure why people are so against Wilshire playing , thought we were quite good in the first half with him playing with Rice. And yet people praise Snodgrass who just ran round like a headless chicken when he came on. Ultimately to get anything against City you have to have everyone on top form and...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

If Ajeti signs I wouldnt be suprised if he needs time to settle, could be a big step up for a young striker coming from swiss league into the Prem. Definately better to keep Hernandez whose experience (and goals) could prove invaluable this season.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

For those saying we need another CM, given we currently have 7 senior CMs on the books, if we were to sign another who would you like to see leave? Sanchez? Noble? Snodgrass? Wilshire perhaps? Or are people saying they think we need to carry 8 senior CMs in a squad? Personally I think people should ...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Stu1 nails it for me 3 or 4 pages back. All this talk of being a CM short when we've got 7 established senior CM in the squad, yet only 2 established senior strikers and silva up front. Having another striker would make our squad more balanced in my opinion. If we were to sign another CM where does ...

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs

I didnt think he played that well yesterday and certainly doesnt look anywhere near the same kind of threat at the moment, however his pass to antonio for the goal was outstanding. We all know he has the skill but its all about his mind set and fitness, get those right and hes a handfull but he badl...

Re: Andy Carroll

Some of us were not keen on his signing at the time because of his injury record , plus his goalscoring record in relation to the fee and salary. Hes had his odd moment but overall hes been an absolute disaster, thank god his time with us nearly done. I think his career as a professional footballer ...

Re: Angelo Ogbonna

He does seem the type who doesnt make a fuss or moan, always seems committed and available. He doesnt start when everyone is fully fit I imagine but I would rather have players with his attitude and ability in our squad rather than someone whos a better player but is less committed.

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs

Looked sharper last night than he has for quite a while , missed a great chance but his turn and shot that was saved and the assist was very good. Hopefully he gets his head down and focus on keeping fit and scoring goals for the rest of the season.
