5 years later and I still feel we need the same thing
A true polarizing all action box to box DCM who works his absolute socks off.
Dont care about who/where/when. I dont even think the player needs to be good. He just needs to cover the grass and run all day.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Leicester City: Match thread (28/12)
The positioning of Sanchez and Rice was absolutely absurd. The fact Declan Rice is the second person in the box to take a volley from a counter attacking cross said all that was wrong about our formation recently. How and why is he the player in that spot. The sheer ease that other teams push the ba...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini (Now Sacked)West Ham United’s 17th manager
Surely Moyes tells them to get bent? (not the player. the action)
I just dont see it myself. I think we may want, but he wont.

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham United: Match thread (30/11)
Manuel can either change formation or get the sack at this point surely. I understand what type of football he wants to play but he does not have the cattle for it by any stretch. We simply have to play a 4-3-3. Anderson is useless up the pitch. Haller is too far away from goal. Rice needs more help...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Norwich City: Match Thread
Strongly disagree with those saying Yarmolenko was worst on ground before the goal. Think that honor went to Fredericks well and truly. He is good defensively but going forward he is a hot mess at the moment. In saying that when you Anderson/Masuaku duo down left how much do you want to be using the...

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
Ill give Southampton more credit then you lot are. Defensively they were as well organised as ive seen in a while. Virgil Van Djik is just a beast. He has been in the top 3 signings of the season for mine and Id say along with that he has been in the top 2 CBs for the whole league. Fantastic player....

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
Garde is the only one coming out of Villa's season with any credit. He is handling the job with great dignity. I do wonder why he took the job in the first place though. Because they offered him a big transfer budget in January and pulled it from under his nose it seems Being somewhat dignified but...

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
I am not saying they should have streamed forward at will but for some reason they decided to completely and utterly stop making any attempt to attack at all. Teams have won with ten men before. It is not as though they were playing Real Madrid. They are about 12 points off safety. One point is use...

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
I missed the red card as it was down the other end - what happened? All in all a satisfying win in what could ave been very tricky circumstances. I won't gloat in Villa's demise - we've been there - I've never seen a side lacking so much belief and effort. Very sad for a once great club. https://ww...

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
Personally thought he was trying to head it back into the danger area and got a bit lucky Not the best game in the world. Felt we could have been a bit more forceful and attacking but 3 points at the end of the day. Move on to the next one Still don't think Noble, SOng and Kouyate can play together...

Yeh maybe par with Lanzini. He has more skill then Antonio though however Antonio is 5 times the footballer Ayew is though.gegsy wrote:I'm not sure Ayew is much more skilled than Lanzini. But I agree with the rest of it. Terrible from him tonight.

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
Think this quote from a Villa forum sums up their predicament quite well re: Ayews sending off Ladies and Gentlemen, It was buying players like that, who act like that, who have an attitude like that, which got us where we are today Its entirely true. That is why id much prefer sign a guy like Anton...

Re: West Ham Utd v Aston Villa: match thread
Very impressed with Antonios game today. Once the sending off took place he positioned himself in a more upfront role and was constantly making runs to get behind the defenders. It was of no surprise to me that he was the one free to score the first goal because its the type of runs he was making al...

Re: January 2016 Transfer Rumours
With Carroll and Sakho injured for the rest of the month, it is now inperative that a forward is brought in good enough to go straight in the starting 11, out whole season depends on it. It is inperative we get a good forward not a forward. We need a forward that will challenge Sakho and Carroll wh...

Re: January 2016 Transfer Rumours
Grabban for 7 mil should tell you all you need to know about the market this window.
Our only chance at getting someone decent without spending in the region of 15 mill is by loan so lets get one
Zaza would be ideal. El Shawaaray is another option. Spending money is just gonna get us crap though

Re: AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread
Valencias passing is okay. His crossing is great however. If you want to judge crosses by accuracy and ability too hit one spot, go and re sign Matt Jarvis then. Ill judge them by the danger they possess. Valencia isnt looking to dink up pointless ****. He is trying to whip in rippers that create go...

I didnt think we were THAT bad in the first half. I gave Bournemouth a ton of credit for the work rate and performance more then anything. They were brilliant in that first half.

Re: AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United: Match Thread
Not too sure what Valencia has done wrong in the last month. 2 goals and 2 assists now in 4 games is proper good going for me. His last 3 games have been top notch including this one. Think everyone bar Adrian/Noble put in a well above average performance. Payet aside as the clear MOTM I thought Ant...
