Re: Postecoglou: are the cracks beginning to show? [non WHU]

Still amazed that some of you lot don't get Ange. He loves sarcasm and does not suffer fools or play the media darling if he isn't in the mood. He has always been like this and knows what he is doing - he has Spurs in 4th and I so wish we took the punt on him. He does things his way and says what h...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We're about to play in our third European quarter final in three years. A feat unheard of for West Ham. In a few hours we'll be going toe to toe with what is currently one of the best teams in European football in a full competitive fixture. This is some of the best times we've ever had. Not just b...

Re: Anything nice to say about Millwall?

I've got more respect for Millwall supporters than I have for Spurs or Arsenal's. I thought their aeroplane banner was class (might be the wrong choice of word there) when we got relegated, and I believe some also had a fundraiser for little Isla's cause.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

I hadn’t really considered him as a viable option but since someone chucked his name out there I’ve not been able to shake the feeling that there may be something in it this summer if Paqueta goes ……...Grealish I was thinking this as well, with the added advantage that Grealish knows how to fall ov...

Re: The kids are all right

I can't decide whether changing the format from U23 to U21 is beneficial to the kids or not; at least with U23's, it gave an extra couple of years for them to mature and gave the coaches a clearer picture of whether they were likely to make it at top level, or whether they should be let go of.

A good start would be for the presenters, pundits, and commentators calling out the cheats rather than applauding them for being 'clever'.

Re: VAR 2023/24

*Dons tin foil hat* Interesting how the run of dodgy VAR decisions just happened to coincide at a time with us being in a position to beat Man U into sixth spot. I seem to recall a run of bad refereeing calls, particularly red cards that were subsequently rescinded, under similar circumstances durin...

Paq should have been off just then. Mind you, maybe Bellingham should have got another yellow for asking for a card. :crylol:

Let's not also forget that Leicester got promoted to the Premier League, in the first place, while breaking the EFL financial fair play rules.

Just seen an amusing comment on FB where someone said they should give him his own golden seat to sit on after he scores. Just wondering whether it would screw with the opposition keeper, seeing a gold painted chair planted behind his goal each half, or whether it would spur them on a bit? :crylol:

4½ minutes to decide doesn't sound like a "clear and obvious" error to overrule the ref's decision to me, so it rightly stood (imo).

Re: ✍️ Welcome Mohammed Kudus

Definitely better on the right or central but feels to me he is the best option on the left in games where we can use Antonio. Has real quality and put in a great shift defensively too . I think that might be why he switched to the left, to provide a bit of extra cover for Cresswell (I think he is ...

Re: ✍ Welcome James Ward-Prowse

I don't know whether it's just my imagination, but it feels to me that we haven't had too many free kicks within striking distance compared with other seasons. (Still agree with mixing it up a bit with Kudus and Paqman taking a few though.)
