Re: The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup
VAR is ruining the spectacle and spontaneity of the game
yes, maybe it was a fraction of a centimetre offside, but I'd rather the odd debatable decision here and there than have to wait 5 minutes to celebrate or not.

Didn't get into it at all when played out wide, was more effective when moved into the middle in place of Hernandez (who just can't play up top on his own - not his style at all).

Re: ⚽ Chelsea v West Ham Utd: match thread (8/4)
Great to have Balbuena back - hopefully alongside Diop next time out. Noble was the only calm head with an eye for a pass in midfield - should have stayed on, unless his legs were gone? Did Arnie get a rocket at half time? Rice out-muscled by RLC Fredericks & Snodgrass - decent effort Agree that...

18/02/77 was a VERY Special Day :wink Was that when we won 3-2 ? I'm fairly sure Alan Taylor bagged a couple along with the usual shennanigans in the North Bank.... or was it the 20th? Day, Bonds, Lampard, Otulakowski, Green, Lock, Taylor, Radford, Devonshire, Brooking, Jennings. 3-2 (Taylor 2, Jen...

For me, Antonio's place is a high impact sub to use late on against tiring defences

no 'supported as a boy' eitherLucas Perez on joining West Ham. “I’m very happy to be here at such an historic club. West Ham have great fans and play in an amazing stadium, so to sign here brings me great joy. I’m very motivated.”

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 7 days remaining
I'm not quite sure what Middlesborugh are doing. Do they want to play in the Premier League or League 1? signed Randolph & Fletcher last year & going in for Hughill this year! Do the scouts even watch the players? He'll fit the direct Pulis style well - love him or hate him Pulis is good at...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
It's difficult to know what was going through Nobles head at the time though isn't it, difficult to know what emotion was running through him, each person is different. Do I agree with what he did....no, but I can have some sympathy about the situation and what might have driven him at that moment....

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 21 days remaining
I think any further signings will be dependent on who departs. No word on whether Chica will stay or not but if he goes we will need another striker for certain. Danny Ings is probably a good shout as he won't get much game time and Liverpool. But I am probably on my own when I say I would like to ...

Perhaps it would be prudent for you to consider what "Next to no" actually means.Up the Junction wrote: Perhaps it would've been prudent to read the post properly before replying.
"Next to no scoring opportunities" does not equate to "no scoring opportunities".

Having seen the goalkeeping antics in some of the other penalty shoot outs, I though Ospina seemed to conduct himself in a very sporting manner - especially considering what the rest of his team were like. Credit to him.

Impossible for us to say why he gets injured, I'd think it's more his combative and acrobatic style rather than his out-of-hours activities that contribute more.
