A decent government wouldn’t elect to leave the EU.
It has been losing value whilst in the EU. Why would you keep hoping it gets better?

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

I didn’t say they hadn’t increased. They have increased more for the better off. The less well off are getting less well off in relative and absolute terms. And the rich are getting richer. I don't remember hearing remain cry for checkout workers, or factory workers, trades people when their labour...

Now they can, but the UK was told when in the EU to raise vat on renewables. Re: The Johnson Government 2019-202?

I doubt it will ever happen. But  Labour do need a policy on stopping the crossings. 'let them come' didn't work in Germany and will be a vote loser here.

Wages have increased, and there is no shortage of work. It may contradict the data you are reading, but it is fact. I know this is not the case for all sectors.

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-202?

If anything, I hope this puts will make future Governments realise that they can't make up stupid laws, that make no sense, and expect not to follow them. I have no love for this government, but they where covid light on restrictions Labour wanted. And we are a mess now.

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make. You said Macron was asked by Zelensky to visit Putin. The only person to suggest this was Macron. Why would Macron lie? Well, probably because it made him look weak getting big tabled. The peace deal he hoped to get failed. French investments didn't ...

If Boris gets through this it is because, no else wants the job. Even Starmer will be happy to wait 2 years.
But will people care in 2 years? Probably. But will the opposition be ready? I doubt it.

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

Well, the Brexit plan was to reduce the size of the pool of labour available to employers. Does that make for good or bad wage increases? The problem was skilled labour was having wages driven down due to the increased supply of skilled labour. Big businesses where charging the same or more, whilst...
