Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We haven’t won the League Cup but i’d always imagine being very happy to win it but also a little disappointed that it’s not the more prestigious FA Cup. I feel the same about the Europa Conference League vs Europa Cup. It’s ungrateful I know and beggars can’t be choosers but i’d like the likely on...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If offered Ings or nobody (given a crocked Italian and a troublemaking Antonio at the time) what choice did he really have? Wasn’t Moffi his first choice? I’m sure if we’d offered 125k a week like we did Ings, he would have been all over us like a rash! Ings was a poor choice based on our playing s...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The thing is I don't buy the narrative this season has been a complete disaster. It's been moments. Forest away, Chelsea away, Palace at home, Palace away..... I appreciate you added an ellipsis but it really is a lot more than that. Everton away, Wolves away, Leicester at home, Brentford at home, ...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

That's over £100m spent (and yes we've recouped some of that) Yup, a grand total of £3million plus whatever Vlasic’s loan fee was! Great point though, constantly fixing past mistakes can’t be how you spend a significant portion of your transfer budget every year. Yet it will no doubt happen once ag...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The problem for me is what happens next season if Moyes is retained? We will have an even more aged Antonio up front, and still no obvious replacement anywhere to be found. He has to change it up next year and that begins with the striker situation but we all have little faith he can work with anyon...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

I’ve heard from some good sources that he is completely disillusioned with the game. So much so that he may just walk away. This is clearly showing in his performances.

He needs to be dropped for his own sake.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

If the only examples you can come up with of rich owners who rent a ground for 26 days of the year are Sullivan and Hearn, which didn't happen, then it's not " any rich owner" Well it’s not like these stadiums become available every week is it? There are plenty of other examples in busine...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

That is right up there as being one of their most heinous decisions. Even as owners, REAL West Ham 'fans' would have completed the Upton Park renovation. To move us to the monstrosity that is the OS? They absolutely didn't do that, as West Ham fans. They did it for themselves. As would any rich own...

Absolutely. He was as good as Adrian. He was certainly better than Joe Hart!!

As others have said, he was a great backup keeper which is why he will be this time too. Sounds like you’ve just got a problem with him...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Maybe. But for us to be taken over by new owners we need some investors to show some interest. As far as I am aware we haven't had that yet. And knowing our luck of having sh*t owners throughout the history of the club, I can't see that changing any time soon. I noticed the Baroness is allowed to h...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Looks that way to me, that's quality from our Captain, offering the new signing the chance to get off the mark. Equally impressed that Haller didn't take him up on it. *Haller has scored 23 and only missed 1 in his career... Look at him also talking to Arthur, more than likely about the pace of Del...

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

I mean, we've got some pretty ****ing good players to be fair. Whether we can get them playing together is another thing, but quality wise, we are 'good enough' to beat Watford. On that basis we were good enough to beat Brighton, or Burnley, or Cardiff. As you say it's getting them to play collecti...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I often wonder if our gameplans are devised in training whilst playing against our own defence. When we finally get to the game, we find out it doesn't work as the opposition defence is so much better. :D Also why do we concede so many goals that originate with a ball played inside our fullback (mos...

Their confidence will be low, we should be taking advantage of that, and we are more than good enough to do so.

Re: ⚽ Watford v West Ham Utd: match thread

People using our 4-1 win last season as a yard stick should remember it was a week before their cup final appearance.

They'll be up for getting their first points of the season, and our generous defence will let them.
