Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Biggest issue I've had with the OS in the games I've been to is how iffy the security seems. Cant say watching this video has made me feel any better about that. https://youtu.be/5Q5lvhwpHDw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return f...

Trains to Birmingham are disrupted that weekend. Marylebone line looks like the best bet from London

Re: Olympic Park opens Saturday
Aztec, I live in Leyton mate and you can access the park from new Spitalfields yes. Also from Temple Mills Lane at the end of Crownfield Road/ High Road Leyton. Went for a massive walk around the other week to see where the access points are. You can also exit to the west straight into Hackney Wick....

Re: Crystal Palace v West ham United: Match Thread
You watched the game didn't you? ... Let's put it in perspective. They had the better chances Yes, I was at the game (yawn). They had 2 more chances on target than us, so yes the better chances, I agree. My original point was to show that they didn't run away with it when you were implying they wer...

Re: Crystal Palace v West ham United: Match Thread
@giantsteps Wasn't saying we outplayed them but you said 'They clearly had the better chances than us (and more of them)' which, looking at the stats, doesn't seem true. I read that as pretty close and one team nicked it. Especially as at least 2 of their on targets were after they had scored and we...

Re: Crystal Palace v West ham United: Match Thread
Possession - yes Chances - no They clearly had the better chances than us (and more of them) so I don't see how this warrants us 'outplaying' them http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25098626" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Match stats seem to contradict this. We had more...

Re: Today i bumped into...
We were in Paris on a Saturday night tear up last month and my mate saw Emma Thompson outside a bar near Moulin Rouge. He went up to her and said 'Emma, I'm a big fan of your work'. She stalked off and a bloke with her shepherded my mate away from the bar. He walked back over to us and said Emma Tho...

Re: Now Hearn wants to ground share
Thanks both for your answers.
To be honest, I got so bored of all the nuances of every different possible outcome months ago so stopped following that closely. Sounds like theres so much red tape that it's either us for the stadium, or no one.

Re: Now Hearn wants to ground share
If, hypothetically speaking, Orient were granted permission to ground share, I'm assuming West Ham United could walk away from the deal as the terms would have changed?

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread
If I were to nitpick then it would have been much cooler if Ravel had run towards the away fans after he chipped it thus achieving the 'not even looking as the ball crosses the line' celebration.
But that was literally the worst thing that happened all day.

Re: Cricket
If there were a deal to buy a cricket 'bolt on' to your football season ticket, I'd definitely be all over that. In fact, given the supposed multi-use nature of the stadium, I'd be keen for football season ticket benefits to inlcude priority booking for other sports/ concerts, etc in general (not ju...

Fella in a white jacket, I think it was, looked like he was bleeding from the head. Could be wrong as was in the BML (and because I was supposed to watching a football match, not a boxing one!)westham, eggyandchips wrote: I was close.....didnt see any blood.

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham: Match Thread
Was anyone sitting in proximity to the fight in West Lower towards BML? Could see some fairly hefty punches being thrown and a couple of lads get pulled out covered in blood. I assume one of them was a Spurs fan?
Wasn't good to see on what was supposed to be a special night.

Re: West Ham Utd v Arsenal Match Thread
Not one to sit back in. I wake up at night sweating about (the much improved) Gervinho d*cking all over Joey OB/ McCartney. If we can keep them on the back foot however we could nick a scrappy goal or two. What we did really well against Fulham was pressuring the goalkeeper forcing him to get rid an...
