Re: ⚽ Tottenham v West Ham Utd: match thread
No indication as of yet that this will be called off, Spurs seem to be over their issues and we haven’t got them. The Premier League and FA haven’t had the brains to float a break yet, though I believe they should Premier League / FA meeting on Monday to discuss "circuit breaker" apparently

Re: ⚽ Arsenal vs West Ham Utd: match thread
On to the important subject, where is everyone drinking near the ground? Hoping to knock off work early. I'm going with my Gooner brother-in-law and we're meeting at the Twelve Pins in Finsbury Park but I think that might be a home-only pub. Few West Ham mates meeting at the Famous Cock outside Hig...

Re: ⚽ Arsenal vs West Ham Utd: match thread
In the home end for this one with the Gooner brother-in-law. After going to Burnley yesterday, I fully expect my week to be properly ruined by the obligatory late Arsenal winner whilst I'm surrounded by thousands of the unbearable w-anchors. In an alternative world, Antonio to pull his finger out wi...

Re: Behind the scenes videos
Always an excellent watch. Particularly enjoyed the Spurs one. Rice pumping the crowd up before KO, just shows how up for it they are and they know what this fixture means to the fans. Agree with BH59 re the work off the ball, although that is credit to the players for putting the work in, for me th...

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)
A few days ago I was adamant we would win this and then go on a run to the final. As each hour has passed today I've become more and more nervous and pessimistic. We're gonna win 3-1. No wait, we're gonna win 1-0. No actually we will finally end the hoodoo and knock them out on pens. Who knows. Thes...

Re: British and Irish Lions Tour 2021
Well, whilst the first game was pretty uneventful in itself, the surrounding circumstances have kicked off big time! Tour skipper Alun-Wyn Jones ruled out of the tour after dislocating his shoulder early on in the game and Justin Tipuric also ruled out through injury. Not to mess up the balance of t...

Re: Boxing thread
I can see AJ being too big and strong for Usyk. After watching Usyk's fight against Chisora it was clear that he will struggle keeping the big lads off. Someone who throws better combinations than Chisora instead of winging in with big overhand rights (i.e Joshua) should be able to get Usyk out of t...

Moaning about moaning.. classic KUMB  (This isn't a moan about moaners moaning about moaners, before anyone moans about that) Look, I was the one moaning about moaning so if you want to moan about me moaning at moaning then I will moan at you moaning at me about moaning :crossed: Anyway, here'...

Re: Cricket English Summer 2021
How's everyone getting on in their own games this season? Would love to know who you all play for! I've had a shocker of a start, I'm a middle order batsman that can give it a smack when required. Had a couple of decent knocks in pre-season but since the league started I've not made over double figu...

Re: The problem with England...
where is the overreaction? Calling what has mostly been a fairly balanced calm discussion an embarrassing overreaction is an embarrassing overreaction IMO. "The manager has chosen the wrong squad and then picks the wrong team. Simple. Kane, Sterling, Rashford should never play for England agai...

Re: The problem with England...
The overreaction on here and elsewhere is embarrassing. We drew a game 0-0 against a team who played well and who had to get at least a point and were well up for it. Yes we didn't look particularly threatening but that can be the case against teams like Scotland. We beat Croatia comfortably, albeit...

Re: Cricket English Summer 2021
Have to say I like the Sky commentary team at the moment. Not a huge fan of Ward anchoring but I think Nasser, Rob Key, Bumble and Athers are a brilliant listen. Atherton in particular I could listen to speak about cricket all day. Bumble still cracks me up, highlight of yesterday when the umpire to...

Re: Cricket English Summer 2021
Apology made, one wicket away from being on the honours board at Lords. Hopefully common sense prevails and he's given a smack on the wrist and is allowed to crack on.

Top spell from Wood before lunch. Like the cut of Robinson's jib. Need to get through the tail and get batting before tea ideally.

Re: Euro 2020 - Who Wins?
I think the home advantage has been hugely underestimated. England play every game at Wembley, that is a huge factor.
