Re: The January 2012 transfer window
Offering that money for a defensive player? Sam wouldnt leave the stadium alive. People want to see us attack but instead we are going to strengthen our defensive game. That would never fly with anyone im afraid However, it would mean a quality defensive midfielder who would release Nolan, Collison...

After Juventus struggled to offload under-performing striker Amauri, an enterprising fan decided to try to sell the Brazilian-born star on eBay.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v West Ham Utd: match thread
Stech is injured I think, remember reading something about it somewhere. Hall and Baldock need to be starting every game. I think they could work well at a front two, as yesterday Baldock was using his body a bit more and playing with his back to the goal - could be worth a chance. But we all know ...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v West Ham Utd: match thread
The reality is our squad is simply not good enough .If it isn't good enough to cope with half a dozen changes against a third division side , what will we do next year if we go up ? The perception appears to be that we have the best squad in this division. We don't have the best fit for purpose squ...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v West Ham Utd: match thread
Baldock "sounded" as though he played pretty well. The commentator was pretty decent in his analysis judging by what we have seen so far this year. No pace, lacked ideas, lacked some creativity, a few players "no good enough." Now obviously not being able to see the game one can...

Re: The January 2012 transfer window
Jordan Rhodes is the type of striker that requires service. Apart from Matt Taylor who is going to give him that service? Considering Taylor's injury record is shocking we need two new wide players to make the Rhodes deal worthwhile IMO How many chances/efforts at goal have we had in the last seven...

Re: Jan transfer window 2012
We need to add some pace or creativity to our midfield. One or the other will do for me Then maybe our games might not be so f***ing boring and tedious to watch Watching West Ham win is and will never be boring to me. However, i appreciate where you are coming from! A tricky, pacy, jinky winger and...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bristol City: match thread
When we last played in the Fizzy Pop we struggled against teams who came and parked the bus. Other teams will take heart from City's performance last night and do the same. Be prepared for a long season unless we find a way to unlock defences. Either go wide (which we seemed to be doing early doors...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bristol City: match thread
Noble, man of the match? He worries me. Loads of endevour, but can not do the simple things. When he gets lucky, like v Leicester we all vote him man of the match. When he is sloppy and his long passes are off target, we face palm. I thought he had a very good game v Leicester. However, tonight was...

Re: Southampton v West Ham Utd: match thread
Not at our best this evening . ... but overall we lacked energy in midfield . We were poor on the night, they were not much better, and for me, never mind respect the point, respecting possession may be a better place to start .For a top of the table clash , their wasn''t much quality on display fr...

Re: West Ham Utd v Blackpool: match thread
4-0 win. 10 shots on target. Good display from every player. 2nd in the table with the top team to play next. Thought the side had excellent balance. A good crowd. NOTHING to moan about the game in the pub afterwards! The fantastic movement of Baldock balanced with the excellent covering of Diop was...

Re: Crystal Palace FC v West Ham United - match thread
Sam has stated on the OS that there are injury concerns for O'Brien, Reid & Taylor. Plus Demel or Diop havn't started a game yet.
I'd imagine it'll be Sam's 433. If no Taylor then Bentley & Faubert out wide for me.

Re: West Ham v Ipswich match thread
We joked in the pub beforehand that Ipswich probably had the only team with a midfield slower than ours. Well they didn't need any pace tonight. How was Bullard allowed to dictate the game? Tonight had little to do with formation changes but all to do with players not winning their battles and compe...

Re: West Ham v Ipswich match thread
If Taylor and O'Brien both miss out with knocks then...???? Is Demel fit enough for a start? Faubert at right back? Bentley out wide but on what flank? I think we could see Collison back in the squad for this one if either Taylor or O'Brien drop out. Doubt we'll see 442. Anyone know how many tickets...

Re: West Ham Utd v Peterborough: match thread
Just got in so haven't read up on the thread yet.... Definitely a case of never mind the quality but feel the 3 pts today. An iffy pen to win it at that. The Boro keeper had one save to make in the whole game. Sponsor's MoM was given to Noble but for me it was a tie between Faye (no one gets past) &...

Re: West Ham Utd v Peterborough: match thread
Same 433 for me. Need Lansbury's & Faubert's pace in the side. Nolan is always a goal threat and is the skipper. Dangerous to rely on him & Noble in a 442 due to their lack of pace. Peterboro shouldn't be able to live with us. And i am certain that Durham will say something anti-irons this w...
