Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

just to be facetious....what exactly makes a football club exempt from every other business that puts their prices up due to factors like inflation, their running costs...shareholders and profits? Of course the club means a lot to supporters and i love it that Docs dad still plods over to WH...hes ...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

Only WH and Villa upped their concession ages. Not all clubs are actively reducing season tickets in areas behind the goals and diluting atmosphere for a few quid. Not all clubs are indicating they may force the elderly, the young and other concessions into the cheapest seats. Not all clubs actively...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

If my 87 year old dad who has been going religiously for 78 years is forced to pay double or move from the Band 2 seat he was allocated alongside the few remaining old boys from the Upper East, then that would not be just his lot, but the entire family. I'd no longer ever support them knowing that t...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

Best thing that can happen is win the Europa, get into the CL next season and get relegated.

As someone said, it’s the double faced claims about affordable football and the marketing lies that grate.

If this comes off, I’ll be happy to make travel recommendations and offer general advice on Connecticut. May take you up on that B4L. Looking to do a trip to see mates in NY, NH and my daughter in Toronto so might tie this in if it happens. Not sure about the southern States at the hottest time of ...

Re: Non-League Day

Pretty close, a penalty and a goalkeeping howler put Horsham 2 up, then we hung on a bit 2nd half after Hastings got a goal back. Hornchurch will win the league, Chatham should finish 2nd, other three play-off spots very much up for grabs. Horsham right in the mix. Got you at the Pan on Tuesday - i...

Standing and not bondholders.

They could use it in a production of Beckett's Waiting For Godot. Quite apt really waiting for something that never comes along.

Plenty of unscrupulous owners in lower leagues and non-league with designs to make a quick buck
That’s true, but they’re largely cartoonish in comparison and stick out like sore thumbs.

My local side is the polar opposite of that.

It’s Non League weekend this Saturday. Go see a real game unaffected by VAR, Murdoch, state ownership, Delaware North and in the knowledge that your quid goes to the club not a multi millionaire on the take.

The Hipsters beat the Third Age graduates 1:0 unfortunately. Ended the Rooks League season, but they have the Fenix cup final in May. Clashes with our home semi final if we go through, otherwise I’m off to Lake Garda. Win/win 👍
