Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024

Yes, because the manager will be a coach, not in charge of playing philosophy or transfers in and out. So of course its key that Steidten starts scouting now - some on here would be moaning if they were fueling the jet on July 1st .... People keep telling me that a coach these days manages the play...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Once more the barrel is spun, Moyes is handed the revolver and puts it to his bandana.

Each and every time before the chamber has been empty. Wolves, Fulham, Everton, Prague...

I'm not betting this is over.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Paqueta probably gets a bigger cheer while he is hugging pep. I dunno. A sizeable chunk of our support at City will have enjoyed at least 19 away trips to places they never thought the'd see our club play in. Anyone who's been on that journey should cheer him to the rafter at the end. Whatever else...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

We have a major issue at our club , that being nobody is sure who is in charge of what. I maintain that a decision should've been taken in Prague whilst we were sat sipping a celebratory drink to either give Moyes a 3 year contract and full control, or part as friends and go a different way. We wou...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

If you take Greenwood's and Lyall's cup legacy's yes, but both of those managers resided over poor league positions in one could say easier times to finish top half, where it was more about youth coming through an dless about the funds to bring players in. How did that make it easier? More credit t...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Another important thing to note about going to games in Germany is that they have a real problem with soft rock.

Whatever dirge they were singing at the start went on for ****ing hours.

Funnily enough they looked pretty good to me halfway up the terrace as well. Must be Puff’s telly.

That said, 33/1 for us to lift the cup is too good to miss.

In the PL he should only be in the opposition half.

Really dislike categorisation. I know fans that reach right across that spectrum but judge them on their support for our club and individual behaviour rather than any ideology.

Divide and rule innit.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

The win. For 80 minutes the performance was akin to that game. What let us down after then was as predictable as rain when camping. Tiredness, especially by Zouma and Antonio, an injury, the lack of alternatives and their substitutes. Not sure I’ve seen a game where it played out so much like a scri...

Not buying the idea that Brady has tried to reign in Sullivan’s sociopathic tendencies. She’s been his key facilitator for a few decades.

Aguerd came on cos Dinos was injured.

Maybe you’ve got a point, but I’ve never seen Cornet play centre half.

Saint Boniface is venerated in Cologne cathedral.

We need to quickly carve a Saint Antonio and stick it in St Mary Le Bow.

Strewth, that’s good going.

Was good seeing you. Sad thing is we said these things before the game even kicked off.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Disappointed in the lack of captaincy.

We need someone to gee the team up, get in the ref’s face and calm players down when they need to.

Zouma has been a fantastic player for us, but a skipper he ain’t.
