Re: Boxing thread

2 years/18 months ago I would have been buzzing for this match up

Saunders has been far too inactive in comparison to Canelo, who will be much more comfortable fighting at s Super Middleweight also

@mikecoppinger

Sources: Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders have agreed to terms for a super middleweight title fight May 2 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. DAZN will stream the fight live worldwide, including in U.K. Press conference expected next week.

Re: Boxing thread

I actual felt sorry for Wilder in the end...it was a complete mismatch. I couldn't get over Wilder's corner when he had been knocked down twice and was on the back foot, telling him to 'back Fury up' and 'throw the right hand'. Agree in feeling sorry for him. If Wilder comes back to for a few more ...

Re: Boxing thread

That was spectacular

Fury put on a Kronk performance there, he won’t be losing to another heavyweight in this era if he can stay on track now

I thought Wilder’s corner were pathetic and a danger to his safety before pulling him out

Re: Boxing thread

I suspect Fury is just acting up. He’ll just try to make slight adjustments from the first fight in the hope of fighting the perfect fight over 12.

Really hope he does it, just have a feeling he won’t as the fight draws closer. Great fight, proper 50/50 and worth setting the alarm for in the UK.

Re: Boxing thread

I give Wilder a lot of credit. He never gives up and has enough confidence he will KO fighters who are better technically than him. Fury getting up was one of those ‘you have to see it to believe it’ moments. I want Fury to win all the way, he will have to box the perfect fight to do so. Fascinating...

Hopefully Nolan takes a close look at what is going on and stays away, he deserves better

GSB will destroy his coaching career before it even gets properly started and throw him under the bus when relegation is confirmed

What a lovely sucker punch that was.

Sleep easy GSB. ‘Serious financial consequences‘ incoming.

A victory for Brighton. Nothing less will do. One step closer to relegation and ‘serious financial consequences’ Let’s see what opposition ‘superstars’ GSB will be advertising as coming to the OS next season, or what Brady is going to have to write about in her newspaper column every weekend

Hopefully Liverpool run riot tonight as expected, and West Ham London will be one step closer to relegation and GSB will continue to be running out of hiding places from the fans and media.

Re: England Cricket: tour of South Africa

Great series win for England, it‘s never easy to win a series abroad. Hopefully no more Buttler in the test team, he needs to be left to be a white ball specialist. I hope they stick with Denly too, I think he is a good score or two away from changing his fortunes. Very impressed the bowlers succeed...

5-0 Liverpool hopefully

One step closer to relegation
GSB scurrying from the bowl due to abuse from fans

Perfect

Re: England Cricket: tour of South Africa

Wood and Archer could have career defining series in The Ashes next year in Australia if both are looked after and can keep themselves fit.

SA cricket is in a really poor period, but Nortje is great to watch.

Super Slav :scarfer:

Overchuffed for him, glad he has landed a good job in football. The man in charge the last time I gave a toss about West Ham.

He’ll be managing in the Premiership next season, West Ham London will be hosting half empty games in the Championship.

Re: England Cricket: tour of South Africa

I keep looking to The Ashes next year. England would ideally want all 3 of Wood, Archer and Olly Stone fit and firing but that seems near impossible.

Re: England Cricket: tour of South Africa

An innings victory overseas, would have laughed at anyone that predicted before this series South Africa are poor but some of our young talent such as Bess and Pope look very promising, and will hopefully be looked after Most exciting thing about this Test was Mark Wood. Look after him, don’t run hi...
