Re: Tottenham Hotsp*r v West Ham United: Match thread

I think its going to be another huge punch-up like Brum the other season....i hope people are prepared for whats going to happen off the park. Do you think so? I have heard so many times over the last few years that 'it is going to go off' between ABC FC & XYZ FC at their forthcoming game &...

Re: Tottenham Hotsp*r v West Ham United: Match thread

I said on here before the league game that 'on paper Spurs should win but we all know that anything can happen in football' and I stick by that.

Which is the reason I have put a win over you on my Christmas list to Santa (although I don't really trust anyone that wears that much red).

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

But nothing sung last year that caused outrage contained Y.. It was much darker than that. The Y word in the context that it's used is fine and isn't anti-semetic. Even Cameron agrees. Exactly. It is being made out that WHU fans will be nicked for using the Y word which is 'bad darts' as THFC fans ...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

It angers me that Spurs have adopted the Y-word as a symbol of their club - I dont want to be associated with that club in any way, shape or form. Chicken & egg situation isn't it? If AFC (initially) & then CFC/WHUFC hadn't used it as an 'insult' against us since the 1970's i doubt very muc...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

Personally I wouldn't want any of your lot nicked for using the Y word. Ridiculous. Seig Heiling, hissing and Aushwitz songs are another matter. The OB gave the same warning for the CFC game and I didn't really notice any discernible change in the policing although it was probably the first game aga...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

I just got a ticket for this, just with my membership. Have they given us more seats or something? I looked last week and couldn't get one. Think it's odd I can still get one for a game like this, glad though. Nope. There were a handful of home tickets still available on our OS yest - if you dont m...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

I think The Hamilton Hall is good. Easy place to meet, big pub, loads of West Ham fans, an atmosphere and a pretty decent quick serving bar. Of course its not near Tottenham, but it opens early enough and its a 20 minute train journey so its pretty convenient really. I cant say i know of any boozer...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

Agreed. I'm off to appropriately named Olive Branch pub close to Northumberland Park Station on Sunday. And if you want to drink around Liverpool St, there are still plenty of options if the HH is shut, such as the Rainbow Sports bar . . . . . . Allow yourself an extra 5 mins to get to the ground a...

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread

Rose should be back for this one. Possibly Lennon and Kaboul as well. Capoue not back til after the internationals. On paper we 'should' win. But this is football and we all know anything can happen on the day. At least you lot will make yourselves heard - CFC fans were woeful. By the way I was told...

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014

The only loyalty left in football is from the fans to their clubs.

On the subject of Defoe I am a BIG fan. I hope he stays but I would wish him all the best if he decides to move on. He would be a great addition to most Premier League clubs.

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014

Do I want Bale to stay? Of course Should Spurs accept 85 mill cash? Of course. (Or more if we can get it). Still not convinced R.Madrid have actually tabled a concrete offer for him though and I am still of the opinion he could still be a Spurs player next season. Football is nothing more than a bus...

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014

Spanish press were saying Spurs have put a price of Eur 120mn on Bale (circa £102mn). Would have liked to see him stay for another season but everybody has their price I suppose. As for Spurs will 'always be a selling club' - that's true of us and 18 other clubs no? Only CFC, MCFC and MUFC can't hav...

I like the way the collar on our home shirt makes a nice 'Y' shape. Subliminal ;-)

P.S I think its ITV4 these days?

Re: the New kits thread

Not bad, I can live with those. Prefer the away over the home although it is a bit of a moot point as i dont buy replica kit anyway.

Football forums all over the country have gone a bit Gok Wan-tastic!

Re: the New kits thread

The mighty Spurs new kits are revealed today.
I have a feeling the home shirt will mostly white with some navy blue trim (itk?).

I bet you are all on tenterhooks!

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014

10 players are set to leave White Hart Lane either permanently or on loan. Tottenham are in talks with three clubs, including Sunderland, regarding the £5m sale of midfielder Tom Huddlestone while Scott Parker, Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Jermain Defoe and Clint Dempsey are also availab...

Would be nice to see the old place full for a change
