Re: Today i bumped into...
Many years ago this one,the company that I was was working for was tasked to do a window cleaning job of the Ivy restaurant Co owner Jeremy King( a very pleasant chap), as the BBC were featuring his house made almost entirely out of glass, for their series Building Sites, anyway, whilst sitting on a...

Re: Clyde Best
In the 70s, West Ham used to send out their players to the local secondary schools to take the P E lessons , and Clyde was the player at our school (Ashburton) . Unfortunately, in the whole year that I was at that school, I only glimpsed him as he drove out the school gates one afternoon. From then ...

Baffles me that anyone can think he’s bad.

Re: The Non Racist Crap Joke Thread
I came in from work yesterday just as some bloke was running out the backdoor with my laptop, when the copper came round to investigate he asked if I would recognise the burglar, I said"no, but he looked the kind of bloke that would watch a lot of "dodgy " porn.

Just seen that the Ukraine have made 10,000 weapons available to fight the Russians. How many of them will end up in London, Liverpool Manchester in 2 years time?

Re: Jesse Lingard
In hindsight, should Lingard have pressed for a move several seasons back, for in a footballing sense that would been the time to have made a decision on whether he thought he had a future at Old Trafford. He's been there for a long time now and barely made 150 appearances. Being a boyhood fan is al...

You're expecting an easy time of it, no goalkeeper needed.

Re: Muhammad Ali
Yes, a real bully by all accounts, but he turned his back on Gardner in the biggest fight of his life. Apparently, he died an homeless alcoholic, no great surprise when you've watched the documentary, there seemed nothing was ever going to change in his life. The two sons featured in the documentary...

Re: Muhammad Ali
That's the one, I misspelt his name , it's John L Gardner. That Paul Sykes was a right "character ". There's a programme on YouTube, it's a must watch, weird, it had me in stitches at some points, but also feeling, what a sad wasted life.

Re: Muhammad Ali
I saw Ali fight in a exhibition at the Albert Hall prior to his comeback fights. He boxed John L Gardener and Joe Awomi? and boxed their ears off, all the time putting on a show. For all his skill, he took so much punishment in some of his fights that it all caught up with him at the end of his care...

Re: Declan Rice
Yes, he’d get to play with the best, be coached by the best and play against the best in the Champions League. He can leave now, compete for a starting place anywhere and double his salary. It is a short career. I see where you are coming from, but I what I meant was, thinking back to some players ...

Re: Declan Rice
Would Declan Rice had been able to , or given the chance to develop his game the way he has, at a so called " bigger" club? We are the right club for him until at least a couple of more seasons,he's now a key man in the England setup, he can showcase his talents for both us and the England...

I wonder if there will come a time when the LDDC offer to buy us out of the lease contract, perhaps giving us a specified timescale to source a new site and build a new stadium? The problem is that the scope for a relocation is diminishing daily, what with the construction of new developments in and ...

Re: Declan Rice
Two more years at West Ham will see him develop as a player far more than at a team such as Man City or Chelsea. He knows he has the talent to compete with the best, let's hope he's not in too much of a rush to win a bit of silverware, let's face it, once you've won the league once with the likes of...

Re: Declan Rice
Of course, at the end of the day, it's the player who really decides when and if they go if they choose, but Declan Rice is once in a blue moon type player for a club like ours, and I would rather see him stay for the length of his contract and leave on a freebie than cash in on him, I believe that w...
