Re: Six Nations Rugby thread

Why is Jones being made to face this belligerent woman interviewer again? The pre-match grilling was embarrassingly loaded, the post-match interview just as provocative. Jones was quite right to slate the crowd for booing the kicker, the interviewer seizing the opportunity to try to get him to say ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Bournemouth: Match thread (01/01)

It’s rare we beat anyone comfortably at the moment, let alone 4-0 so I’m going to enjoy this one for a few days. No real weak performances tonight and a desperately needed 3 points, chopping away at our goal difference too. Tougher challenges await but last night was a step in the right direction. I...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

He'd get himself sent off or miss them completely. His performance for Manure vs Sheffield United reminded me of the worst of the Breen year.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Saw Phil Jones mentioned upthread. He'd actually be worse than what we've got. I'm just not sure he totally understands what game he's supposed to be playing.

Not adverse to Matic in the circumstances. Tidy player that gets on and does a job.

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

Best of luck to the bloke but mark me down as unsure. I don't think he's a long term appointment at all and not one I'd expect to see push the club forward. Then again, we could have had Taggart in his prime in charge and he'd still struggle to do anything decent with the malevolent bunch upstairs r...

I see Benteke has not scored yet this season...
Just what we needed.... Come one, come all!

I'm half confident about this one. Would be nice to beat the Nigels

Re: Arsenal Fan TV (non WHU)

The Arsenal fans in my local, and there's a fair few of them, they either hate it or don't really know of it's existence. AFTV has no fans there. l also wear a flat cap,and have done for years... Similar for my gooner mates/acquaintances. Most hate them, the others look on them with a sense of bewil...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

We've been here before. All too depressingly predictable. Too many out there that seem demotivated and not bothered, a squad that's not particularly balanced and what's frustrating is that we've been here so many times before and it'll keep happening until things change at the top. I'm losing intere...

Just what the doctor ordered, a great win and a clean sheet to boot. Always good to get a win at that place too. Hopefully this gives the lads a real boost.

Re: Cheating Saracens

Quins were the ones that got caught over Bloodgate. And in that scenario the player involved was banned for 9 months, the club fined, the Director of Rugby banned for 3 years and the Club Doctor and Physio struck off. Numerous clubs were doing it and a variety of figures have admitted as such. Back ...

Feels like we should have enough to win this one but for some reason I'm more wary than I was last week. 2-1 to us with squeaky bum final 5 minutes.

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Best bit about that pic Sendo is Wayne Barnes looks as though he's about to say "How VERY dare you?" Spencer's a very handy player and was in camp until the day they left for Japan. He'll be as up to speed as anyone. The loss of Sinckler would probably be the most difficult to replace. Not many play...

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Cheers Tomos. I thought Wales look strangely out of ideas this week and made far more errors than usual.

No doubt the sales if SA shirts in Edinburgh, Cardiff etc will be high this week.

Not a great game of rugby at all. SA were probably marginally better on balance. Feel a bit for AWJ.

To me that rip was forward but not “enough” to be clear and obvious. Not sure the welsh can be too pleased with that performance. Also shout out to Biggar and Liam’s Williams for their non stop whinging.

Re: Rugby Union World Cup.

Puff - Player welfare. it was the same last tournament. There's a reason rugby doesn't have midweek fixtures. That's why the group stage is as long as it is. The typhoon is one of the biggest they've seen, but the teams had all been told that robust contingency plans were in place. Doesn't look like...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

I just felt we were gonna lose as soon as they got the penalty. Losing the natural left footer didn't help and thought Lanzini was quiet. The drawing angles on their pitch on VAR for their second looked utterly comical to be honest. I can't stand Palace. Living where I do, you don't hear a word from...
