Re: Leicester charged with spending breach

I'd imagine the way City and Chelsea have set things up makes things incredibly difficult to investigate vs Everton, Leicester and Forest.

Clear and obvious... what it was meant to do. It isn't that. Eff of VAR.

The difference in performance and application from 1 week to the next is absolutely bewildering.

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24

Would be inclined to play Oggy and Philips if fit enough. Maybe Johnson too. Bring off any of the attacking trio if the game is going well. Not underestimating Burnley but we need to be realistic during the fixture pile up.

West Indies and Srilanka. With no disrespect to either of those sides, now is the time to blood some new pace bowlers. And move on from Bairstow.

Re: Rugby Union 2024

A performance that i didn't think England had in them. Disrupted Ireland for large portions of the game and didn't allow them any sustained control. I thought Ford's missed kicks would prove costly and they almost were. What was almost as important is that the fans got a performance at home and a re...

Re: Other games (fwiw) 2/3/4 March

How many times is Alan Smith gonna mention us? Those two defeats earlier on in the season must of really hurt. People rightly criticise the spitting Scouser for bias in commentary but Alan Smith is as bad when it comes to the gooners. It's just that his voice is so dull that barely anyones listens ...

Re: Other games (fwiw) 2/3/4 March

They could forfeit each game 3-0 and probably end the season better off than they will if they play all the remaining games.

Sat through so many awful results up there over the years that makes these ones all the better when they come along. Just lovely!

Re: England Cricket 2024

Never expected anything from a series in India but this test was just players being mindless. A world of difference from being positive to just being plain daft. Those interviews don't help the cause either, just comes across tone deaf.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The transfer window is being conveniently used an excuse. The underlying stats behind the games had us 14th with almost identical stats to Wolves and Palace up until Jan 1st, we were just the most clinical team in the league which pushed us into a false position. They showed a stat during the Arsen...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

The behind the scenes shambles is what I primarily blame for this and it has been the same pretty much regardless of who is manager. Moyes frustrates me but I'm not laying the appalling last month purely at his door.

Re: West Ham United DNA

Yeah, I think you're probably right. Only way to break out of that for any period is to get yourself a multi billionaire owner that is in it for the long term and has enough money and resources to ignore FFP. So basically Man City. We've always had some bargain basement owners. Not that I'd want a b...

Re: Rugby Union 2024

I turned off after the penalty try, but after a discussion this evening with mates over a couple of beers. The Chessum yellow should have been a penalty at most. Wales should have been penalised at the scrum before the penalty try. Ford was not approaching the ball for his conversion attempt. The s...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

As an extension of what Juncs said re: NI, I think what I've found immensely frustrating in all of this process is the plain bad faith that has accompanied so much of the negotiations. It has continued to bring out the worst in politicians and has only served to reenforce entrenched viewpoints on ei...

Excellent news. Welcome Kalvin. His flexibility allows us to set up in a few different ways. That and he's a cracking player that has Rodri in front of him at City.
