Re: Hodgson: let's see if his no Hammers policy is vindicated.
I think there could be a real upset in this tournament. The format means that 4 of the 3rd placed teams from the group stage will reach the knock-out stages - so it's not inconceivable that a Ukraine or a Sweden could sneak through then go on a bit of a run. Provided we progress through the group s...

Re: Olympic Stadium unofficial computer model
As I posted on Skyscrapercity, these renders are great but how accurate are they in terms of scale? Look at that lower tier, surely there are more than 19,000 seats there? The scaling of the lower tier in comparison to the upper tier doesn't look right to me and the rake of the stands in the lower t...

Re: What was the plan had we bought the OS outright?
"rent it to the spuds" the spuds can kiss my arse! All things considered, it has worked out quite well for us. I know we have the gaps which will be coverred and the issue with the stands behind the goals but it would really have been a nightmare had we struck the original deal. Levy and H...

Diame has some skill, but he is one of the most selfish players I've ever watched. I'm sure I'll get shot for saying this on here but I'd be happier with us going in to next season with Nocerino than Diame. Overall, my season has been okay, although I think it is not up to last season. I started ba...

Where is this layout?WestHamAlways wrote:Interesting to see a layout at last. I hope the season ticket holders get a chance to go inside the ground to see what the view would be like before having to commit.
At present I am in the BML, in row Z by the edge of the penalty area. Don't fancy moving to the top tier.

Re: Olympic Stadium Planning Application Documents
What's strange is that almost from the moment the board focussed themselves on getting the OS, the police stopped controlling the crowds at Upton Park tube station, causing far less order and more people complaining. Apparently, the club and the police couldn't agree on who pays for the policing bu...

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
Getting trains home is a pretty big reason. As I live the other end of the country, games @ the Boleyn are more of a trek than a lot of aways for me. If I want to see a 3pm k/off and get home that night I have to leave Upton Park immediately once the final whistle blows to get across town to Euston...

Re: Away Fans @ the OS
And you advocate lock ins ? Shameful. Firstly, it depends on who the opposition are. If we allow Millwall 8,000 tickets then it would be madness to allow fans to leave at the same time. If segregation in the stadium or concourse is an issue then I really can't see the problem keeping fans inside fo...

Easy solution here. Keep the away fans in the ground until the area is cleared. That always used to be the way.Grays wrote: To do with the logistics of getting the away fans out of the area as quick as possible.

Re: Olympic Stadium Planning Application Documents
Having an upper tier miles from the pitch is shocking for atmosphere. How many on here were moaning after the Play-Off Final because the atmosphere was subdued? Fact is such Upper Tiers are more like viewing platforms, separated and detached from the action. We keep talking about distance from the ...
