Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

Yes a great effort tonight, heartbreaking really. But a lack of strength in depth has been costly- not just tonight but all season. Manager’s preference to work with a small squad so only fair he cops a chunk of the blame, no? Likewise his tactics and failure to deal with Leverkusen’s substitutions ...

But not from teams higher in the league though.

Re: Rugby League 2024

What a weekend of Challenge Cup semi finals- as expected Wigan easily brushed aside Castleford but upsets caused by Huddersfield winning at Catalans, and St Helens knocked out by Warrington. Hull KR came from behind to beat holders Leigh - the Leopards seem to be suffering a bit from second season s...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

Well that’s probably it for this season. Doubt we’ll break Leverkusen’s unbeaten run, and a failure to win the next league game could all but be the end of our hopes of a European place for next season. Looks to me like Moyes choice of playing with a small squad has seen said squad become knackered....

In desperation we bring on Earthy, within minutes he’s Ko’d by one of his own players!
Only at West Ham, eh?

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

That’s it now for the season isn’t it?
Difficult to see how Moyes stays on , especially as we’ll get punted out of the Europa League and we don’t look to be qualifying again- unless for the Conference- without some sort of miracle

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

They weren't Plan B, they were a desperate roll of the dice. Worked for the first goal, eh? Then Moyes makes changes that were late, and out of desperation, and they go and score a second! But it’s not Moyes fault though is it? Leaving 11 players knackered on the pitch when he could have introduced...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

None of it matters now- many of Moyes substitutions have been as bad as Pardew’s ! And he was a man who gifted many an opposition side a route back into a game with his ‘tactical’ tinkering. We’re highly unlikely to smash Leverkusen’s unbeaten run, let alone by a minimum 3 goal margin. We may get in...

Obviously we all have different tastes But I’m surprised by the number of negative comments here. I’ve only watched the first three episodes as they’ve been broadcast and in the main I’ve enjoyed it so far. It’s not “landmark” tv but I’m loving the soundtrack and as someone who was 15 in 1980, it r...

Very sad news RIP fella. Government needs to be putting SERIOUS money into dementia research - funding needs to be on a par with cancer research funding. In the long run it could save billions. Dementia is the biggest killer in the UK. https://www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/news/dementia-is-the-uks-bi...

It surprised me that Eric Morecambe was only 58 when he died, I always thought that he was much older than that.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico

That compilation is absolutely ridiculous. What a sensational player this boy is. He has it all. It's such a shame he has picked up so many niggling little injuries, because we've been robbed of time with him. We should be moving Heaven and Earth to secure another season of Paqueta linking up with ...

Massive financial problems at the firm ran by a bloke and his 23 year old daughter, decomposed bodies found inside, some not even in freezers, etc. Just awful. Is there not some sort of regulatory inspector for these places? As far as I'm aware the professional body is the National Association of F...

Reckon so. Takes one of the favourites out of the running .
Can't see London getting any joy at Warrington. Another thumping like at Plough Lane last weekend, unless Wire play their kids.
That said........

I doubt that very much, he's a thick skinned Scot, he isn't likely to let a small minority sway him one way or another, if he did, he would never have taken the Man Utd job, or come back to us a second time. Any delay I suspect is down to ironing out the finer details. I think it's fair to say at t...
