Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

I'll be watching this from a 28 mile long rock in the middle of the Atlantic Sea rather than my usual seat in Billy Bonds. At least I can turn the tele off. Like many here I have a few Spurs mates and they are going through it too. Confidence for them is rock bottom, can see it being a draw 1-1 espe...

Re: Grady Diangana

Needs to play as many minutes as possible which he is doing at WBA. I fear he'd play second fiddle behind Felipe & Yarmo here.

Him and Antonio are our two direct players who will take a man on. It is hurting us not having a player like that atm.

The fact that we have spent £100m+ in the last 18 months and are still desperately missing Antonio is quite telling.

Re: Top 5 Dutch players from the Premiership (non WHU)

He is talksports best presenter. What I mean by that is not that he is my favourite, I hate the man, but to give him credit he is f'in good at his job. I've seen this debate all over twitter and now on here, so he certainly gets people talking Mine would be: 5) Van Persie 4) Van Der Sar 3) Stam 2) B...

Re: Andre Gomes injury (non WHU) -Please do not post links

I think when you cause an injury like that, it's a red. It's not a red card challenge per-se but his cynical challenge caused it. These challenges are made every game to prevent a team breaking but this time it's possibly ended someones career, certainly their season. That in itself is deserving of ...

Two-fuh-a-pand two-fuh-a-pand anywhere ya like. I miss them. In my late teens my mate and I used to have a joint at Upminster, get the train up and spend 5 mins laughing away at those two. The pressure of being stoned, trying to decide what sweets you want and having him shouting anywhere ya like an...

Re: The end of TOTS

My mate took me & our 2 girlfriends, must've been about 1979-80. His recently rebuilt Ford Anglia got nicked from the car park. We attempted to walk home to his house at Upminster, along the A127. I think we got as far as Rayleigh Weir thumbing (with no joy), before we had to give up & find a phone...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

The rain could be felt as far back as row 28 on Saturday. Make that row 32, Mushy. I felt it there in Billy Bonds stand. Also felt it took far longer than norm to get through security, perhaps due to CP bringing in flairs? Anyway, the extended wait coincided with it absolutely hammering it down, wh...

The club had the chance to make this a condition of the lease, that they chose not to tells you all you need to know about what they think of our traditions and the livelyhoods of people who for generations gave the old ground and its surroundings character and identity. Did they? I thought the sur...

Re: Ribman

I hate seeing it too E17, but I’m not sure how it’s the owners fault that the Pie & Mash shop isn’t busy anymore. Yes, it’s down to the move, but aside from them opening a shop by the new stadium (which I’d imagine would be extortionate) there’s not much that they can do. I’d love if the stalls that...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

His worst game for us yesterday. To me he looks a little short on confidence. He had a couple of opportunities where he should’ve pulled the trigger but took the extra touch and their defence closed his angle. He also lost quite a few aerial battles which surprised me. They went through him a few ti...

Re: Pablo Fornals

Playing against U21 players is a whole different ball game to playing premier league football. That being said, I do agree that there looks to be a fantastic technical player in there, he just needs something to go for him. Got himself into some fantastic positions yesterday, you feel he will start ...

Summed up. Pulls off some decent saves, which is ultimately his job, but when it comes down to what makes you a premier league goal keeper, which is decision making and distribution, he doesn't have it

Whether our feet are on the ground, or our spirit in the sky, we're always West Ham and that will never die. Thoughts are with you and your old man at this tough time. Grief can cause rifts in families at times like this, ultimately even if opinions differ your old mans best interests are at people'...
