Re: Your hierachy of achievements

The other thing is how long will this competition even be around? If it’s pulled by UEFA in five years, will a relegation be worth it to win the thing? It hasn’t got the pedigree or history of any of the other trophies, it would be the first thing to be cut out the calendar if they were looking for ...

Re: Your hierachy of achievements

I would love to see us win the ECL, I’d celebrate it for weeks and weeks, regardless of if we get relegated or not. However given the chance, I’m not sure I’d take the trophy at the cost of us getting relegated. Regardless of league position this year, this squad is the most talented I’ve seen in my...

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca

Just read an interview with him, says he's been unlucky with injuries, but he's happy living in London, and really likes playing for this club, completely different story to the codswallop that was flying around about him on social media last week. Load of tosh that was. Thought it at the time. As ...

Re: S.L Benfica, FC Porto and Sporting!

Speaking of Benfica, I saw on Twitter that Joao Mario is top goal scorer in Portugal with 17 goals this season. Also top of the leagues assist charts apparently.

Thought it was strange we never went in for him after the loan, he definitely had something about him.

Definitely a country that’s crazy about football, even more so than other European countries.

Watch a news channel out there and see how much time they spend showing football highlights. It’s a lot.

Stay in Bruges, last train back there from Ghent after the game is about 1am.

Re: ✍ Tomas Soucek

Played nicely in the midfield holding role, let’s face it though he won’t have an easier game for the rest of his career. Our midfield issues are because of the fact we don’t usually have anyone with the ability to link the play together through the midfield, so we look so disjointed usually. Lanzin...

Re: ✍ Gianluca Scamacca

Looked like he was up for it last night as well, sprinting to press the ball straight after kick off, and encouraging Bowen to do the same.

I’m not seeing the evidence of him being a bad egg.

Him and Paqueta got rapturous applause when they were walking round the pitch after being subbed.

It was nice to see, they both must have been chuffed with it.

He takes his shots early which is why he has success with them.

Cracking attempt in the first half, and forced a great save out of the keeper for Bowen’s goal in the second half.

He needs to start after the international break.

Re: West Ham United v AEK Larnaca : Match Thread

Scammaca looks well off the pace, his touch is off and has made some decidedly dodgy passes. The game is won, and now in a position to give a youngester some first team minutes to see how he fairs. Playing Scammaca in a two with Ings in this match has absolutely no benefit for the standard we face ...
