Re: Manchester City Vs West Ham United: Match Thread
We shouldn't ignore the fact that Spurs had 20 shots to our 4 and 70% possession. Now, of course, plenty of those shots were from a long way out and not much danger but if Spurs had been Man City on Sunday we would have lost about 6-2 Man City are, at this point, as good as they have ever been to b...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread
This is the one key thing that really frustrates me about this West Ham side. We get ourselves into good opportunities and just lack that "killer instinct" to finish it off. Moyes identified it after the game, but I feel like we've been like that for a while. I think that's to do with qua...

I really like how much of a connection Soucek and Coufal seem to have with Slavia Prague and vice versa.
I hope they build a similar thing here.

I enjoyed them all going on about how rubbish we are and how we're a terrible side full of terrible players until one of them popped in to say
"Well they're actually 4th and have lost once this year so..."

The Wakandan salute from the film is very similar to the crossed hammers. Not sure if the guy was joking or being a bit of an idiot.Georgee Paris wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:26 pm Waganda forever? Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC
Rice looks like he is loving life here... He's at the top of his game, consistent & developing into a great Captain of our club... I think we should move he'll and high water to offer him greatly improved terms & a long contract... I can't see him forcing a move... Then again... I thought t...

We are constantly giving Reguilon the freedom of the pitch on the left hand side.

Unfortunately I think you are right Carnage We will set up fairly defensively, start passively and concede after 35 mins or so We will switch things and half time and look a lot better but will concede another on the break around 65 Maybe you can consider Liverpool as a performance like this, but o...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread
We're broadly agreeing, I think, but my point is that Vardy took one look at Arsenal and saw them as a club on the wane. If he'd been invited to join Man City, or even Man United, I doubt he would have stayed with Leicester. Arsenal had just finished 2nd, this was before they began to wane but perh...

Probably says more about Vardy and his non-league upbringing. We qualify for Champions League this year, would Antonio be pushing a move through?prophet:marginal wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 2:55 pm Yeah, sure, but not to Arsenal, who couldn't in fact persuade Vardy to leave for them in the same window.

Even with their relative malform of late, if Arsenal went in for a Leicester player it would still be "Oh a big club has come calling."
Takes a while to shake that perception. Leicester lost Kante after winning the league.

Re: West Ham Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread
I don’t think N’Dombele gets in ahead of Rice or Soucek and Lo Celso is dogshit. Reguillon gets in though, as does Alli ahead of Lanzini in the 10 role. He’s a massive Twat and was for a long time overrated but he’s still a decent enough 10. Lanzini doesn't start often for us mind, so that's tough....

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Sheffield Utd: match thread
It was nice that it was the first goal this season for all our three scorers. Shame Coufal didn't join them. 18 different scorers now this season.( Only Man City can match that) Only Coufal, Cress and Noble to chip in now. Who needs strikers when the whole squad contributes. Benrahma and Masuaku too.

I've actually found that fans of other clubs are very gracious about us at the moment. Lots of compliments of how much they like watching us and how well we're playing.
The one exception being the Arsenal fan who insists we're finishing 8th. Told him that I'd be delighted with that.

Re: Welcome Jesse Lingard
That's a fair point. I never doubted his ability. Always felt he was a decent player without being Man Utd starting 11 standard. The question is what importance you put on attitude over talent. Personally I feel attitude trumps talent at a smaller club like West Ham. I, only an opinion, feel Jlingz...
