Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I am not very savvy when it comes to the workings of a team in the Prem so you will probably laugh at what's coming next: Surely the players themselves must know that the manager's tactics are not working and the team is headed for the drop. So is it beyond the bounds of possibility that someone, s...

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)

I had only just recovered from the last pasting on the road at Oxford and now there goes another Saturday wasted watching that shambles of a football club. I feel sorry for those of you who are watching that tripe every week to be honest. We had a decent trip up, a few pints in the cricket club, bit...

Re: ⚽ Burnley FC v West Ham United: Match thread (09/11)

Tough game but we absolutely have to go up there prepared for a battle with a little bit of class and pace in areas too. I would setup like this: Roberto Fredericks Diop Ogbonna Masuaku Noble Rice Snodgrass Anderson Haller Lanzini Makes total sense to me to restore the 2 centre backs who have played...

Re: Is our squad better this season?

I agree the owners gave him a decent-ish amount last summer. But you honestly believe the small amount Pellegrini had this summer, which included player sales was hand on heart acceptable? You deep down believe the owners did everything they could for Pellegrini and backed him to the halt in the su...

Re: Is our squad better this season?

The owners have once again escaped criticsm from the stands and look like Pellers will be used as the sole scapegoat. Yes I am rapidly losing faith in Pellegrini and I am starting to believe he is not the man to take us forward. But what would you say about any other club that plays in a 60,000 sea...

Our squad is worse than last season. We haven't replaced Obiang or Hernandez simple as that.

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Speaking of the Mane "goal", you can already see that it's sapping some of the spontaneity away. Big goal, equaliser against a rival, very muted celebration as you could tell he knew what was coming. All... a bit ****, actually. Try telling that to the main customer of the Premier League, the armch...

Re: January

We're fine. Spend in the summer. Fine for what, yet another ambition-less mid table finish? :asleep: I tell you what I am ****ing fed up on this "We're fine" attitude. We moved to the new gaff to push on and you think our fans are going to be fine at sitting midtable year after year getting humilia...

Re: January

Same as all of the last 3 January's we need yet another striker and of-course we need to invest in a proper, powerful centre midfielder in the ilk of Tielemans/Ndidi/Gueye etc etc.

Re: Czech Republic vs England

Looking forward to this, should be a decent test. I think Southgate is slowly but surely working out his best side, Mount coming in for Barkley is a no brainer and a good move for the future. Pleased he has finally gotten rid of Dier, Alli, Lingard and Rashford from the starting 11 - none of that lo...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Signing Cresswell until he is 33 is absolutely dire. Presumably this has only been done to maintain a sell on value in 2021, I'll be staggered if he is still playing for us in 2021-2022.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Match Thread

London derby, so think we need a bit more bite in the middle. Wilshere gives us more of that than the other two. Fornals has been slightly better recently but still not amazing, and again 50/50 between Wilshere and Lanzini. I just have a feeling that Wilshere would really turn up for this game and ...

Just been having a read through that brochure, my word there is some rubbish in there. My personal favorite: "GACP Sports plans to support the current manager, Steve Bruce, who has had unparalleled success in Europe"

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

I think Pellegrini can be faulted for his substitutions on the night at the very least. 1 - Taking off Holland who was our best player on the night. 2 - Taking off Wilshere instead of Sanchez who serves no purpose going forwards. 3 - Why take of Snodgrass and not Fornals? For one Fornals was clearly...

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

I went last night and frankly I am absolutely furious :x We all saw Newport, Shrewsbury, Wigan & Wimbledon away (x2) over the past few years - these fringe players simply do not have the b*llocks to go to the lower league sides away from home, play well, dominate and pick up a result. How many times...

Re: ⚽Oxford United v West Ham United: LC R3 Match Thread

Looking forward to this, feel like it will have a lot more "spice" to it than Newport the other week, Oxford are a much better and bigger club and will provide a challenge, especially at their gaff. I would setup like this: Roberto Zabaleta Balbuena Ogbonna Cresswell Rice Wilshere Snodgrass Fornals ...
