Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

He has gained over 70 caps for the best European national side over the last decade and played in both a Champions League and a European championship final He is a very functional, hardworking player. Deschamps loves that kinda thing. He'd have very few England caps. We couldn't carry him, our ball...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I am surprised we didn't compete for Sissoko when he signed for Watford. Still a very good player who would stiffen up our midfield and bring leadership and experience He has all the technique of a potato. He is one who inspires one of my favourite things about football, the knowing smile of a shar...

I know Pep’s bigged him up and arguably he understands football more than I do, but...I thought that New York bloke looked gash in his hype reels.
Don't get yourself down, mate. If you change your username to Cara de Ace people would see you two as equals. It's branding.

If we couldn't do any good with £200m then we might as well give up.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I watched Longelo in the EL too, thought he did well. I also thought he had the easiest job of all four of the young defence as he basically got to play as a winger.

I didn't see anything that would make me think the coaches who know him would be making a mistake to let him go.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Interesting though the 2 who failed most spectacularly were pretty much the two most expensive signings at the time. I am sure all players were “scouted” by someone to some degree it simply appears the level of “scouting” by whoever is now seriously improved. Of course we do not know how many of th...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

He doesn't use his squad.... he uses the first 11, then gives the others a few minutes here or there. THATS NOT USING A SQUAD!! I'd argue you can look at the use of Benrahma, Johnson, Vlasic, Masuaku, Lanzini and Fornals and see that he does. And then add Dawson and Diop in the cups, Noble, Areola,...

Why is Hammerbot so insistent that Caleta-Carr is available on loan all of a sudden? He starts most games for Lyon!

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Or two were properly scouted, their role and likely contribution identified and two were not. As I have made clear in each post (subtly ignored by you of course) it is not overpaying that is wrong but overpaying for the wrong player. I repeat do you believe we have refused to pursue the signing of ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Pay a little extra like we did with Haller and Anderson? That worked out so well. I am surprised that people believe Moyes has simply been sitting on his bottom doing nothing all window when even his quotes make it clear he has not. We have looked at players we wanted - who knows some may well be o...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Senesi would be excellent and I can only assume is holding out to go somewhere on a free. Lingard still feels viable. I get the feeling they’ll deal for permanent in the last week, especially if Lingard pushed for it. They should be worrying more about Spurs and Arsenal anyway. They’d be better off ...

He'll easily be the best player in the Championship, next year.

Good luck to him.
My interest in him will completely go. Stayed there when he could have joined us then fannied off to Newcastle. Hope they go down, and he'll be pushed to their bench once they come back up.

I've been told he's quite nice, and very good conversation if you get him onto something he cares about. Boxing was the one my mate had him on about, he bloody loves his boxing.

You all have foe buttons if you find them that much of a problem. If you really think someone is a troll, I have no idea why you would show visceral reactions. And reports. DL is right, and it would be a help if people could rein it in. Mainly cos I am on this thread the most so would then have to c...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I guess it’s worth remembering that Liverpool had that crisis in defence last year and could only get Davies and Kabak. One has not played for them and the other is now struggling at Norwich. It’s not easy, and they’re a club who can afford to make mistakes. It doesn’t mean we are unable, but it pro...
