Re: For The sake of Nostalgia

As cruel as it is to imagine now, the idea of The Boleyn with 45000 in it at night in a cup tie for example would have been fabulous. The thought of that made me feel all tingly inside although I would have lost the 'turrets' though to be fair. What a terrible shame, the fans deserved so much better.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Well our highest attendance last time we were down there was 35k, in a proper ground. I think we'd be lucky to hit that even without GSB. I was responding to how many fans would likely return post GSB, regardless of division. I don't think the resurgence of disaffected supporters can be underestima...

This current ownership of WHUFC can do the square root of nothing to Spirit of Shankly, Liverpool FC or anyone taking anything into the Kop end of Anfield that meets ground regulations.
We shall see, but I hope you're right.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

IMHO the problem with posting and discussing a potential banner in advance, on an infamous forum, is that it gives Brady et al ample opportunity to try and have it banned.

Some things are best kept under the radar.

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

That's more or less what I was thinking as I read DC's post. It will be interesting though to see just how much criticism they can take. I fear quite a lot while the money keeps rolling . Exactly, making coin is their sole aim and the bad press will be viewed as an irksome, but ultimately minor dis...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Pie in the sky I know, but if a new purpose-built stadium was to be built, where would it's location be? I can't really think of anywhere in the vicinity that would be suitable. UP(minster) Park  It would make sense to flatten the existing stadium and redevelop the land to incorporate a new 4...

Well, for people with skin like that, they're very sensitive to adverse press
That certainly seems to be the case Puff, but they're not going to be driven to selling the club as a result of a bit of adverse press.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Talksport called me again earlier, asking if I wanted to come on to discuss West Ham in the absence of match commentary. I made it clear I will only come on as a HU committee member. They have said this will be fine and they will call back around 3pm. We shall see.... Caught this perchance whilst p...

Both West Ham and Man City are terribly run clubs, just completely different versions of terrible, I wish there was a way we could both lose.
I tend to agree, the clubs are at different ends of the spectrum, but both are symptomatic of the insentient sky era of moneyball.
