Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Seems to me most people think Johnson's a lying ****. That's virtually a given. The Tories have(unlike other parties) a reputation for binning their leaders in a ruthless fashion. The longer he clings on, the more people will question he judgement of the ruling party and this is more risky for them...

Re: Rooney at Derby

When he broke into the team at Everton he had to be taken to one side by the management there as he was riding his BMX to from training and getting a bag of chips on the way home.

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Pretty sure you could have saved £900k by simply getting someone to pick up the phone and ask someone with half an idea if this was viable. Nearly £900,000 of taxpayers’ money was spent on a study commissioned by Boris Johnson which found it would be too expensive to build a bridge or tunnel between...

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Good luck to the next guy, here is some **** for you to deal with, a good part of which is of your party's own making. How is the levelling up going? By Philip Aldrick and David Goodman (Bloomberg) -- Soaring energy prices and rising inflation are causing policy headaches around the world. In the U....

Re: The Energy Crisis

February wholesale prices are now down around €70/MWh, vs their peak of €180/MWh.

I think there are a lot of indicators that it might fall further, with the elephant in the room being Russia/Ukraine and the potential fall out from that meaning that it could go the other way.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

FFS here we go again with the "Lingard should be forcing himself out of MU" rubbish, personally i'd prefer a bloke who was a professional and worked for the club paying his weekly wedge than some sulky ****hole who downed tools or caused problems, reckon our manager thinks exactly like th...

I'm not normally one to fly in the face of popular opinion, but the consistent gargling of Dr John Campbell's marbles in the COVID thread needs to end.

Unless his own party turn on him, Boris is pretty untouchable.
So he's not untouchable at all then.

It's quite incredible that we're at 420 pages and there's not been a single shred of credible news. Proper stinker of a thread.
Rubbish, Dan informing me about Schick's sister has been the best thing that has happened on here in years.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

German league is a clown league? :crylol: Schick would be a next level signing. He'd be the best finisher at the club and would potentially get us top 4 with his goals. Antonio would become a useful change of speed sub. Schick is far superior....mainly because he can hold a ball and link up play. L...

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

We’re talking about where money is generated. So biscuit employee won’t sell his labour to biscuit factory if the factory isn’t there to provide the labour. As already pointed out trade existed long before governance. And also as already pointed out, said civil servant is only giving back tax money...

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

Straying from the point a bit. Which is, where does money come from ? Well where is it generated ? Through trade and Industry (all kinds) using people. The government then demands tax payments from the people in order to distribute it where it sees fit. Whatever way you want to cut it, money has to...
