Re: Man City (Non-WHU)

“The decision "is subject to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)".“

So expect an appeal and the ruling overturned then. Just a scare tactic and will eventually be a “Ok, well have a slap on the wrist instead and promise me you won’t do it again?!” type punishment.

Re: The Relegation Rebuild & Casualties

if the majority of our players are likely to have their salary cut in half if we drop, then is there such a massive need to have a clear out?

surely we could sell a few and keep most of them, which should be enough to be competitve in the Championship

Re: Knee injury

i blew my LCL ligament back in August 2018, but didn't know at the time. Was on the sauce and woke up the next day in agony, but assumed i had just twisted my knee (couldn't bend it properly, hurt to stand on etc etc). Anyway, carried on the holiday as normal - walking, go-karting, being out and abo...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

If the board agreed to meet HU on their terms (as they have so far been unwilling to do), and they made a real effort with meeting and communicating etc - would the protests be called off?

Just curious if they are going ahead regardless of what happens (bar GSB seeling up and leaving within a week).

Mate, he was telling fans not to protest until after the season is finished in the Sun the other day. :thdn:
that will explain his tone then.

Re: Sunday Supplement

Listening to it too, fair play to the presenter for highlighting Gold not getting a salary but taking interest payments on loans and Lomas just brushing it under the carpet as a "you tell me who puts money into a club and doesn't take a penny out?" comment. To me, he came across as a bit of a board...

Re: Sunday Supplement

we are being discussed on TalkSport now with Steve Lomas - says if the owners promise us world class stadium/team/performance then we need world class money. player recruitment is the worst thing in his opinion

Superb piece
It's what many of us have been saying & exactly, what we would have written.
It is still a bit of a shock, seeing it now, in the wider public. It's taken a long time, but, it's there now.
That piece is pretty scathing!

Re: Protests against the board being planned

So he actually said the words: "I won't go there if I have to look over a running track. But I believe we are in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Let's face it. They've built a stadium - albeit wrong shape and size." Freely admitted from the start that the stadium is the wrong shape and size, yet t...

Very good article about the state of the club here by Martin Samuel:- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7958875/West-Hams-owners-David-Gold-David-Sullivan-spent-240m-taken-club-backwards.html Makes a good point - has the move to the Bowl enabled us to sign Bowen on "enhanced" perso...
