Re: Romford

Very sad to hear the news, he would have loved it out Seville with all of us. Great memories from Gnome too and really summed him up well. We didn't always see eye to eye, apart from the fact he was about a foot taller than me, but we could always discuss it over a beer in the Wakefield. I'm sure he...

Re: Things you've always wanted to know......

Why is swinging a pick-axe so ****ing knackering? I like to think I'm a pretty fit bloke but, 15/20 minutes or so of swinging axes/pick-axes and I'm absolutely ****ed. There must be some sort of ****-off circular saw on a cart job like they have for cutting concrete that would make mincemeat of tre...

Re: Little things in life that make you smile

Quite Interesting Verified account @qikipedia When HMS Dolphin stopped in Tahiti in 1767, the sailors found that local women were prepared to exchange sex for iron nails. The Captain ordered a stop to the trade as the significant loss of nails from the ship had massively compromised its structural ...

Very odd
Yes if you look. He said after the Chelsea game and the mistake he had a decision to make on the goalkeeper. He dropped Hart when everyone thought he had a contract clause saying if fit he must play.

Re: Declan Rice

The boy is class - if you're going to play youngsters you have to be prepared for the odd mistake as they're still learning - count all the things he gets right not one mistake in 90 minutes , the lad needs encouragement not criticism . This. He's made as many mistakes this season as Ogbonna, Ginge...

Re: 27 storey London Tower block Fire -Latimer road

Yes, it's completely beyond recognition from where it was even when I started out 18 years ago. The way work is planned, the way sites are laid out, tidied, the money spent on training, items of plant and equipment, safety equipment and so forth is miles better today. Certainly with medium to large...
