Problem is that limits the pool of players who would be interested in signing for us in the first place!

We are in a bit of a bind at the moment!
To be honest, i think our pool of available talent is already rather limited, regardless! We really aren't an attractive proposition right now.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Unless we pay big wages, no player is going to want to come to a relegation battle - and if wages are the overriding factor as to why they will sign in the first place, are they really going to be up for the long slog to survival Good post and mostly agree with what you're saying DL. The only point...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

Guys, we won't get relegated.

We need probably 5 wins and we'll be safe.

There are enough winnable games remaining, and we'll probably turn over one of the big boys at some stage.

Winks won't turn our season around, not sure why it's even being discussed.
I'd take it further and say he isn't an option at all for us!

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

It's about 2 minutes difference. Scoring and seeing the flag up (see our first disallowed goal yesterday) is one thing. Scoring thinking you've got a point, resetting then having it brought back for a gnats nadger offside or a marginal ball to hand 2/3 minutes later - and not then getting that time...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Genuinely find it a little bemusing how some are saying we didn't deserve to lose. Sheff Utd had two clear headers no more than 3 or 4 yards out that should have been goals. They had the open goal from a Fleck rebound shot. They had a 1-on-1 with our keeper. Not to mention they pressed up much more,...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Just watched Declan’s interview on Sky, he makes a great point. Supporters are celebrating VAR decisions like it’s a goal, sometimes even more so as you’re now not sure to even celebrate an actual goal. Can’t be right. Is it any different to pre VAR when fans would celebrate a goal that was then gi...

What a poor non-performance that was. DM will go mental at a few of them.

We need to bring in some cover for right back cos Zaba won't be good enough.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Bournemouth: Match thread (01/01)

Forget how bad Bournemouth were for a moment..

We were brilliant. The biggest difference was how much more the players were running and working all over the pitch. We pressed so much higher and were so much more committed. So refreshing to see!

There will be bigger challenges, but a great start.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

With the exception of Watford, and we saw how that went, has a PL club ever re-employed a previous manager of their club? GSB scrapping below the barrel. This is just one above selling new porn vids of a dead ex girlfriend! Portsmouth and Harry Redknapp comes to mind. Did well the second time too -...

Re: Manager 18 - David Moyes: yes or no? [POLL]

Such an uninspiring choice.

What justification is there in hiring someone deemed not good enough 18 months ago?

We look like a bunch of clowns. No real plan or purpose.

Nailed on David Moyes return.

What a waste of 18 months that was.

Owners definitely need to shoulder some of the blame for the predicament we are in; but Pellers is certainly not immune from blame. He's done a terrible job this season.

Re: Michail Antonio

He currently offers us something very different from the rest. His pace and power up top is like gold dust right now. And he is a trier. He puts in a shift. With all due respect though, something is going amiss if we're now relying on him to save our season. When you spend £45M on a striker, and hav...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I'm not very optimistic for this transfer window at all.

I think we might bring in a centre mid, and thats about it. Cant see much else happening.

Diangana will be recalled from loan, perhaps.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

People quote win rates without examine the circumstances. In his first season he came in amidst a relegation fight and got them comfortably mid-table. Season two he did not kick on. He struggled with the language, and he did not get players he wanted (though they did spend to buy back their star pl...

Re: Fullback transfer fees

I think historically fullbacks havent been given the importance they deserve. They have often been seen as a position where the player is a failed centre back or a failed winger, converted into a fullback. Certainly our lot havent invested in this position. To be fair, our lot havent invested in cen...
