Re: Roberto Jimenez

Watching one of the streams this afternoon the camera focused for a moment on our 3rd choice GK Martin.......a penny for his thoughts......I bet he was thinking:
"f--k this for a game of soldiers, I'll take a tumble in training next week, I don't want to go anywhere near this clusterf--k"......

Re: Update on where you think we'll finish

Top half with a slight improvement on last year's finishing position. A positive goal difference would be good as well.

Re: West Ham United vs Athletic Bilbao - Match Thread

We're going to suss out our new ST seats. We've managed to move every season and are now hopefully in our ideal position a few rows from the back of B132.

Re: Shirt Brands you don’t see anymore...

Pony.......by name & nature......... Seriously, when we wore their kit in the mid-90's the license in UK/Europe was owned by a UK holding company called Pentland, who at the time also had Reebok and others. They were Korean and really well known in the States. I knew some of the seniors at Pentland ...

Re: Relocations?

Our little group, after spending 2 seasons in 205, successfully moved now......205 to 233 and now down into 132 for next season - all done quickly & efficiently earlier this week. I think that will pretty much be it now, we at a good level in the lower tier band 2, easier access, less stairs to nego...

Re: Relocations?

Further to my earlier post. Waited on the line for about 15 minute from 3.30. Got a really helpful lad on the line, looked at a few options and managed to move 2 seats from 233 down to 132 row 22 just half a dozen seats along from another small group of friends. Checked my account on the WHU ticketi...

I have heard of people getting what they want but these are singles and up to 4 people. My appointment to move two of us in block 233 - we want to move forward by 10 rows or so - is at 15.30 this afternoon.....let's see.

Didn't get an email at all last year so just phoned up and blagged it early on and they dealt with it eve...

Re: The Baku Stadium

Agree pobl........ Apparently stadium venue decisions are taken 3 years in advance which seems crazy. Why they don't nominate 3 stadia, say one each in west / east / central Europe then at qtr final stage make a call (and compensate the other two) depending on how it looks the final teams will shape...

Re: Huge rise in ST prices

Got my email with a relocation appointment time this morning. Better admin than last year when I got sfa. Our small group have moved every season @ the OS so far and hopefully if we can get what we want this time, we will be about as happy as we can be all things considered. Will also challenge whoe...

Re: The Baku Stadium

Says in The Times this morning that the stadium mgmt opened the gates - without UEFA permission - to let local people in free after about 30 minute in an attempt to create a bit more atmosphere.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Our little group has taken to meeting as usual in The Builders, swiftie, then up to the ground outside Gate G for the bar & music there....only if it's not hissing down of course.
Quite a good atmosphere being created and usually see lots of old mates and people we used to sit with in the BMU about.

Re: Waiting list and season tickets

The whole way the said list has been managed has been somewhat random, lots of stories of anomalous actions by the ticket office in administering it. Having said this, the chances of getting an ST quickly is if you only want a single. There have been anecdotal instances of people horse trading on th...
