Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
Any businesses aim is to maximise income & profitability from the products they sell, WHU is no different. In respect of the 60+k seats they have to sell for each home PL game, they take every opportunity to tweak the "mix" of STs available by adjusting bands, upping the seniors age in...

Heybridge Swifts v Grays in the Isthmian North for me. Usually watch the Swifts when WHU games don't clash. Will be a cold wind blowing in off the Blackwater estuary this afternoon!

Just to be clear, Neil Taylor who I mentioned earlier also manages Hammers4Work.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Jimmy668, Neil Taylor is your man. He is on Facebook and also manages the Long Live The Boleyn Group. He does a hell of a lot of good charity work around the old manor and each game collects unwanted tickets to distribute to good and right people. I've donated several times myself. Genuinely good bl...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Acknowledging the likes & dislikes many have already expressed, the one thing that gets a tick from me is staying within the borough of Newham and back in fact to the West Ham side of the patch. I think I remember a thread a few years ago on KUMB debating whether or not the Boleyn was actually i...

Re: 1st game with children
If it's not already been mentioned elsewhere on the thread, worth checking the Greater Anglia trains website for any service alterations to the Stansted Express service into LivSt. Weekend disruption is very frequent. If you're landing @ 7am any overnight works might affect early services. I hope th...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I just wonder if our state of the art scaffolding, breeze block & plywood lower tiers are robust enough to take the extra height of the metalwork & structure of safe standing?

Re: West Ham United DNA
I there's any DNA around the club it's with the supporters. Grandfathers, Dads, sons and female genders too. Who can say if the PL/SKY era is starting to diminish this, I would guess probably. Noble was our last player with it truly in his blood, the boys from Plaistow, Poplar, Stepney, Barking, Eas...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
In terms of ticketing and crowd make up, I think the club is still recovering from some of the rickets they made in the move to try to maximise sales - £99 kids tickets, allowing ST holders to buy additional tickets, etc, and we all knows the abuses these tickets allowed due to poor checks & con...

Re: The Boleyn Ground ~ East stand
Saw my first game in the 63-4 season from the old CR. My uncles & cousins used to pick me up at our house in East Ham on their way through from Barking. Dad used to take me to some games, but foot ball really wasn't his sport. Had my first season ticket when the new CR lower went to ST's, a grou...

Re: Simon Jordan - Get tested for Prostate Cancer
My story starts with a routine annual medical check in late 2014 where I had the finger examination as part of the routine check list as I was nearing 60. BUPA advised my doctor that my prostate was " a bit hard " in places and a PSA test was recommended. This showed an elevated PSA, not t...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
As a result of the trouble reported with the AZ club officials / family members last night, there has been some fallout for next week's return leg. Our party of eight, through Dutch business contacts, were set to be hosted in the AZ corporate area & seats. As a result of last night's issues, AZ ...

Horrible set off results elsewhere for us today, very unpredictable. Turns tomorrow from "a point would be nice" to "a win is badly needed". I can see us only getting to 35-37 points, might be enough.......just.

1966.....Moore - captain / Hurst - hat trick / Peters - scorer......a feat highly unlikely to ever be repeated by one English club. Our club's unique contribution to football nostalgia. We are West Ham.

Re: Season Tickets and digital ticketing
Just been on line to buy one extra ticket for FCSB game for our son who arrives from Sydney that morning. Had to queue for a few minutes then hunt about for a seat near our group in 132, but all done & dusted in about 15 minutes.

Re: Season Tickets and digital ticketing
I have a Motorola Android which is NFC capable and I have checked & double checked again that NFC is activated but for the third time now no luck at the turnstile. I am making do with calling up the QR code to gain entry. Mulling over applying for a card as some of our group have done already.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread
Certainly Moss v Arsenal & Taylor yesterday performed terribly. I've never subscribed to the corruption / conspiracy theories until these recent officiating performances, but the regularity & obviousness of bias to me is increasing. I just couldn't believe some of the decisions yesterday.......

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Good post Billywhitehorse, thanks... Having travelled extensively around the world for business before retiring I've been through more and varied security checks at airports, hotels & venues than I care to remember. It's never bothered me and I always approach a check prepared and knowing that i...

Pretty damning read in the S.Times.......
One thing I found interesting was that alongside the pictures of the three PAI guys was also a picture of Brady, why not Sully as he was quoted in the article not the Baroness. Is there a subtle message here somewhere?

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
What about the facility to upgrade a concession priced ST to full price? Have looked all over the ticketing section of the website Q&A, etc to see if this is still available?
