Re: Newcastle Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread
Important to not lose this game but If we can sneak a win here it would put us in a great position for Europe. We're probably going to have to get a win somewhere against one of the teams around us so lets get that done on Saturday! Phillips was heavily linked with Newcastle in January, i feel like ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Coufal is the most basic standard full back. Which isn’t a bad thing but equally won’t be hard to replace or improve on. Would sell if someone wants him and offers decent money.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
I initially wanted a LAM. But, now I’ve seen how well Kudus has performed there, as well as any other position he’s pretty much played in across the attack, I’m more inclined to say we should try and find another Kudus/Lingard, who can play anywhere across the front 3, let alone at LAM. If we’re ta...

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen
I know what you’re saying, but in fairness there are very few players that deserve a starting place more than Jarrod. He’s a natural finisher, probably much more natural than Rashford or Sakha in that department. Works very hard, can play inside or outside. He absolutely deserves a chance. However ...

I’m sure someone said a couple of pages back we would be linked with this player or something? Nice goal!

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Oggy has started three games in the league this season (Brighton twice + Arsenal away) - we've conceded one goal. To balance this out, he also started a game in Europe where he fell over and gave a goal to the worst team in our group. :D That being said, i would still trust him to step in if we nee...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
If it's an option rather than an obligation I don't think they'll take it. He's hardly pulling up trees. Last I saw Misko comment on him I’m sure he said he had a played well. I can’t remember if it was an option or obligation. For some reason it was in my head that he was already as good as gone b...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Point of order. They are all good players. They've been assessed and coached by pros for years. Whether they are good enough to make the leap into the PL is the question. Fine margins and all that. Good footballers in the case they are pro, sure. I thought it would be obvious i meant good in terms ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
People don't like to hear it but the sad reality is that if any of our kids were any good, they'd already be partly integrated into the team, like Mubama has been. They will mostly end up sold to Championship/league one teams.

Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá - Our Brazilian Magnifico
Lucas Paqueta's Twitter feed (not that I use this fountain of crap) but : - " I have a lot of respect for my club, West Ham. I've been having a good season and that's helped me in my PL development. Out of respect, I have to stay focused on my duty at West Ham and keep working. " Just to ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
A year ago I would have been all over Toney. But ever since he came back from his ban I think he’s come across a proper knob in the media. Really disrespectful towards the club that stood by him.
No thanks.
No thanks.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
tbf that might be a foul on Martinez, but not sure why the ref didn't blow earlier then? Never a foul that. Martinez is fighting with Antonio more than the other way around. It has to be for hand ball against Kudus due to the timing. Which, given he's standing behind Mo, makes you wonder how he's s...

Finally seen a proper replay of the Kudus "goal". That just isn't a foul on the keeper ever. So poor from the referee.

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
I know this won't be popular but.. I get that when it takes ages for a decision the fans in the stadium are the ones that are suffering but if we have to have VAR then you have to make sure you take the time to get the right decision. The VAR screens should be shown on the screens in the stadium and...

That was terrible. They showed a replay from behind him and it didn’t even look like the shot was on target.the pink palermo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:43 pm Oh, and the chance JWP failed to convert ?

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)
The ref made a mistake.in blowing the whistle,.which means Kudus never really had that shot in play so it wasn't disallowed. If he blows his whistle a few seconds after (which they're instructed to do), then we score again. Yet another terrible refereeing decision against us. We'd be above Man Utd ...
