Re: January transfer window
I liked Jota at Celtic, didn’t really think he screamed PL quality though Why isn’t he playing out there? Seems unlikely it’s a talent issue. Has he just decided it’s not for him and is putting in minimal effort etc? FWIW, it has previously been stated that his 'lifestyle choices' were not compatib...

Re: Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool (non WHU!)
The title of this thread may need to change.... i think this is very WHU related.
If Alonso goes to Liverpool, it takes a highly credible Tim Steiden managerial target off the table for WHU, which in turn may force our hand in extending David Moyes contract here.
Food for thought on a Friday!

Re: January transfer window
EVH is nearly always bang-on with his info which makes it seem curious/surprising to me that nowhere appears to be strongly linking us to Guirassy, at least not for some time. Most EPL links to the player seem to be with Man Utd. That's who Sky Sports are linking him to. No doubt they’ll be some we...

Re: West Ham United vs Manchester United: match thread
They'll be after Moyes when Ten Hag goes if we're not careful :eyes: Even after the amazing result yesterday, i am still #MoyesOut I love what he has done for the club, and i even see why he 'threw away' the cup game against Liverpool, but for me (and we are all different), i would rather play atta...

Re: Liverpool v West Ham United: match thread
It’s fair to say if we want to get into the semi finals, we probably need to score AT LEAST 2, more likely 3 or 4!
A big or a weak manager? Whichever it is, we need a huge piece of luck, maybe VVD can have a mare and get torn a new one by Mo Kudus.

Re: Liverpool v West Ham United: match thread
More and more reports online that we are missing 2 or 3 starters tonight, not sure if people are jumping on Ex's original message though? If we are missing a couple of starters, then if luck is on our side it would be Zouma and JWP. Zouma has a ready made replacement on the bench and JWP is painful,...

I don't where Paddy Power buy their crack from, but they have Danny Ings as the favourite to score the first West Ham goal, above Bowen and Kudus!

Re: January transfer window
Need a Lingard-like impact player to come in, can't underestimate how a new signing or two psychologically benefits the squad morale.

First stop off on my way to New Zealand, offline for 7 hours and it appears I have missed nothing except a pretty good EL draw.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Tim has flown across the Atlantic to sign a youth player who has 6 senior league games and 19 senior cup games? We have a 21 year old youth player who already has decent senior experience. That would seem worth a zoom call. There must be more work going on in the Americas than just that. I wonder i...

Seems unlikely, DS does not pay for the amount of jet fuel for a return flight to Brazil if we had not given the club our offer verbally beforehand?diehardhammer wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 5:30 pm According to ESPN Brazil the bid for Alberto been rejected and talks closed

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
Zouma to Saudi and Maguire in? Net zero I would guess Benny to Saudi for what? £30 million Kostic rumours have resurfaced for £15-20 million With his knees looking likely to give way at any moment, and Benny not being a Moyes pick, I could see both happening. Helps us out slightly with the AFCON too!

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
According to Ekrem Konur, a West Ham bid of 25m Euro has gone in for Alberto. I guess our Tim is onsite to close the deal in the coming hours. The price is a pretty high for a young and largely unproven striker outside of Brazil. The recruitment committee must see something they really like. I’m no...

Re: Where will we finish?
Would anyone take mid table and a CONFERENCE league win? This would obviously mean we finish third in the EL group stages.

Pack the midfield and hope for a set piece or a Bowen solo goal?

Re: ⚽ Brighton & H.A. v West Ham Utd - Match Thread
I think we need to look at the next 2 results combined, if we get 3 points from the next 2 games and go in to the international break on 7 points, that is a really solid (some would say good) start.
