Civilization VI
Any one played this at all?
Been watching a programme I recorded on the History Channel about the Barbarians uprisings, it was sponsored by this game, just looked it up on Steam and it's selling for a bullseye so before I go for it, wondered if any of you's had played it or previous versions of it.

Re: Football Manager Series
Finally got Bath into the football league! Was well in the race for the title towards the end of the season but 5 of my last 6 were against teams all in the top 8, fell short and ended up in the play offs. Lost 1st leg away 1-0, won the return 1-0 and then won 5-4 on penalties, had Wrexham in the fi...

Re: Football Manager Series
5 seasons in an Brexit has happened, gone are the days of signing young talented Scandinavians and sticking them in the first team! Only current internationals appear able to obtain work permits, and it's no good signing them and sending them on loan to a club in Belgium etc. to obtain an EU passpo...

Give it time, you'll soon be pulling your hair out and crying out for the old versions.somerset-hammer wrote:Cheers mate.
Sounds good, there was a point where it was far too easy, lazily going through seasons with the same formations/systems/tactics.
I like the sound of it.
I'm in!

What's that like Peeky? I keep seeing the advert pop up while playing FM, like the sound of it but FM annoys me at the best of times so don't know whether it's worth the outlay on it.Crouching Peeky wrote:5) Motorsport Manager

Re: Football Manager Series
Stayed up in my 1st season in the Conference with Bath by 5 points, a solid run at the end saw me safe, started my 2nd season in blistering form, won 11 of opening 13 games but soon leveled off and struggled to compete throughout the season, had a great FA Cup run, nice easy run playing non league t...

Re: Football Manager Series
I was interesting in buying this but the overwhelming negative reviews on Steam has put me off. Only 1 in 5 is a good one. I haven't played a Champ/Football Manager game in many years but I'd love to get back into them... I'm wondering if it's worth the $38. Don't listen to the reviews on Steam mat...

Re: Football Manager Series
I had the same issue with youngsters. At the start of the game Bath hath a good GK on loan from Bristol City yet it ends in January and they "would rather he play with higher quality players" so I lost him and can't get any class youngsters in which is a pain. You've had a solid start all ...

Re: Football Manager Series
One thing that annoys me is the number of long range goals, i even had 3 men in the middle closing down and still let a high proportion of goals in from 30-35 yards... My defence were pretty solid throughout the season, and going by stats my back four made very few errors, and hardly any errors tha...

Re: Football Manager Series
Started a career at Bath City. Hadn't been down that low in the league system for years and struggled badly. Coach reports saying each player was a "quality player" doesn't mean they're quality in the division, didn't sign many players because of that, got sacked before the season ended. L...

Because he isn't normally the first person to release this kind of information, normally most of his so called exclusives are stuff that is already out there, don't get me wrong, he has had a handful of so exclusives over the last couple of years but he has also got a lot wrong. Hence the scattergu...

He's been right on the majority of the stuff that he's said over the past couple of transfer windows. Why are Jinxed and Thors the only ones worth trusting?HitzlspergersBurgers wrote:exwhuemployee loves the scattergun approach. Can't stand that tripe. Re: Manchester Utd v West Ham Utd: FAC QF Match Thread 7pm
We started bright but then our midfield got lost, man u were finding space in between out back 4 and midfield all night long, when they got into them positions we were too slow to close down and kept losing our men off the ball, resulting in their wingers getting in behind time after time. Ok we loo...

We applied for England tickets through the fan membership scheme. Wales tickets got snapped up by everyone who had a hell of a lot of caps. We got group game tickets to both Russia and Slovakia games. Also if we get there, got tickets for the final as well which we can give back if England fail to g...

I quite liked the recent documentary. Have always felt he was a decent lad , that kind of confirmed it. His relationship with his son is quite touching. They make quite an odd couple . I've got the documentary on DVD, haven't got round to watching it yet. I agree though, I've always liked him, a lo...
