Re: Other matches ~ w/e 2nd - 3rd Sept
Southgate deserves all the pelters he gets for picking Henderson...and I actually don't mind him as England gaffer. I DO mind him as England gaffer, and partially for his love affair with Jordan ‘Mackem reject’ Henderson. His unwavering substitution of Henderson for Rice in Euro 21 (all the way up ...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread
We're looking at a loan for Harry Maguire very seriously now. Yuri Alberto currently in discussions. Maatsen dependent on Cresswell leaving. We'll look at loans for players, but currently focusing on a defender and a striker. Hope Yuri can bend that ball around the wall like he could bend spoons an...

If he doesn’t sign for us he won’t go anywhere - Everton are potless (can’t afford €35K never mind €35 mill).

Re: ⚽ Brighton & Hove Albion vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I think we can lift the 'never beat Brighton' monkey off our back. But I just think that the PGMOL/Stockley Park won't let it happen. They and the EPL will want the Sky 6 in the top 6 places, that's for sure. They've learnt their lessons from Leicester City and will make sure it never happens again.

I reckon it will be two rubbish players and I will be really upset - it’s so unfair.

Hi Bramwell hope you're well ? I'm obviously Witney too are you going tomorrow ? plenty of Oxford tickets left in their areas if you haven't got one ! Hi RS - no, not going. Have tried booking on line (set up an account with my OX28 postcode) but every time I select a seat (or even get their websit...

I hope Cresswell isn't in the starting XI - the bell-ends who stand behind me at the LS will just slaughter him every time he touches the ball.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
We live in times where full-backs go for £50 million - either experienced (Kyle Walker) or 'with potential' (Wan Bissaka). Where centrebacks go for £75+ million - either class ones (VVD) or 'meh!' ones (McGuire). And if you want a decent midfielder, £25 million will get you a LOANED one from Barcelo...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
I'm glad to see that this board generally acknowledges that a player's 'worth' to West Ham does NOT equal his transfer fee. This time last year, many were drooling over every high-priced signing announced by Fulham and bleating that they were motoring ahead of us as a consequence. Not as annoying, m...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
I think the strength of the 'team' is evidenced MORE by the strength of the subs bench. From the 2 teams others have listed, straightaway, you have a bench which features Noble, Antonio or Lanzini, Hernandez and Reid (if he doesn't break down in the coming weeks). Add to that Pezza's CDM and a reser...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
Sunday's result shouldn't blur our thinking about the Bournemouth game. If Marco had netted 2 'goals' in identical fashion to Sane's 2 efforts, both would have been chalked off for offside decisions (Sane wasn't only offside for their third, he wasn't even in the same Postcode as our defenders). Yar...
