Re: 20 minute walk from the station..?!?

If people need to go to West Ham and don't fancy the walk or Stratford for the jubilee line is too busy, their best option would be go the the international station and get the DLR from there, it that takes you straight down to West Ham. I think the international is closer as well.

Re: Season Ticket pricing - Ideas for the OS

One of the Issues I have with season tickets is that you have an allocated seat, that you never change. I think this makes it very stagnant with the same people around you all the time with limited ability to move, unlike on the terraces where everyone could congregate in their zones before the game...

Re: When can we expect a decision?

Iron maiden.

There will also the fact that politicians are all about saving face. With that the risk of it being a white elephant will be by far the biggest factor in the discussions.

Re: For those of us who have been in - Reviews

Gavrosh Why do the corporate boxes have to be in the middle ? The general consensus is the upper tier is a good view why not remove the top 20 rows and have the boxes built at the back of the upper tier? Leaving it possible to have a single tier with a retractable lower portion. It would also allow ...

Re: Summer 2012 Transfer and Rumours Thread

While Cole is OK 30 yards out with his back to goal, inside that facing the goal he just doesn't cut it, when was the last time he actually got a header on target direct from a cross? While Cole has a role to play in the current squad Jarvis's signing puts Cole in a position where his best attribute...

Re: Interesting article about the stadium design

With all the ground work complete 90M if a fair lump for adding in those options. However isn't the £90M figure old and was related to the original bid? I dont think any budgets have been announced, whats to say under the new tender for a tennancy / rental agreement that their budget won't be £150m?

Re: Interesting article about the stadium design

Its the headline figure that everyone loves to throw about, In reality that price includes everything from the compulsary purchase of the land, decontaminating of the soil, re-routing of the power lines through tunnels, installing all the utilities to the site etc etc, i think i read somewhere that ...

Re: West Ham United to become an athletic club ?

The club always used to do 5 aside games in the school hall for the "junior hammers" as they were called back then before matches, why not expand that onto the warm up track in stratford and do a sports experience before the games, they might uncover the next Mo Farah, Chris Hoy or an undiscovered r...

Re: For those of us who have been in - Reviews

. When Arsenal moved from Highbury (38,000) to Emirates (60,000) the first 38,000 seats at the Emirates offered as good a view as the equivalent Highbury seat. That's not true, if you stick to the rules that seem to be in place about distance to the pitch being the biggest factor. Highbury was one ...

Re: I'm in on Saturday

nope...it sounds like upper tier views are great....25000 seats in the lower tier....and i wager that a lot of those would have benefitted from the screens due to the rake of the stand I'm not sure i understand why everyone is going on about the rake of the lower tier, at the moment the stand is se...

Re: I'm in on Saturday

Frankie so are you implying that 75% of the stadium watched the 100m final last night on the big screen ?? because it was on the other side of the track over what would be the pitch? also the world we live in today is all about convenience and getting to Stratford is a hell of a lot more convenient ...

Re: Changed your mind after the Opening Ceremony?

Your talking about removing the support columns of the upper tier to slide the seats under. I think I beg to differ, I wouldn't fancy sitting in the upper tier if you take these babies out which is what you will need to do if you intend to slides seats further back under the stands Why are you sayin...

How is standing outside the ground asking attending fans to answer a neutral question 'self selecting'? Based on all available information do you support the boards plans for the O.S? 2,000 season ticket holders, 85% against. People will walk away quietly. Doc Like most polls its self selecting whe...

4 Confirmed Bids

From Us, Leyton Orient, formula 1 and UCFB college of Football,

Don't know anything about the college but would assume they are only interested in office space?

So is it effectively us and orient for the main use of the actual stadium?

Re: Decision on stadium likely to be delayed

Our core match going support this season has been around 45K if you take an average attendance of 30k - 18k season tickets, we have 12,000 visitors every game x 23 games / 10 (average number games attented) 12K x 23 / 10 = 27600 add that to the season tickets and you get a core of 45600 regular atte...

Re: Decision on stadium likely to be delayed

How can you not attach relevance to the numbers at Wembley? Every West Ham fan in the ground had to have either a season ticket, membership, or previous booking history. So that means 99% of the people there have already put their time and money into the club this year!! with thousands who either di...

Re: New bid submitted.

By far the biggest thing the club could do either now or in the new stadium to improve the atmosphere would be to have unallocated seating, allowing like minded people to congregate together, whether they are allowed to do arrive on the day unallocated seating I doubt. But I would think they could q...

Paulhs

Why do you keep banging on about being able to borrow against the stadium. When this is one of the biggest reasons we find ourselves in such dire straits with our finances at present. While it is a way of accessing funds all it is, is a bigger shovel to dig yourself deeper into debt.

Re: West Ham v Nottingham Forest match thread

What is the fetish with the blood and guts players, if your not making last ditch sliding tackles or running around like a blue arsed fly you don't get noticed in a West Ham shirt anymore. Nolan was all over the pitch on saturday, making interceptions on the edge of our box then turning up in their'...
