Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

I really don't mean to be negative and hate doing so, but I just don't see how we're going through tomorrow. We are one of the worst sides to have to take the game to an opponent, especially at 2-0 down, and especially without Paqueta.

Our only chance of Europe rests solely on tomorrow now.

Re: Midweek games

There is still something about Arsenal that just makes me doubt they can get over the line. I don't think they have enough big game players who have been there and done it to really pull out a result when it matters.

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

Proclaiming the season is over though? Have a word. Plenty to have a legit moan about without being ridiculous. Paqueta for one. If that's a ridiculous point then you must genuinely think we still have a decent chance of getting into Europe next season? On what basis do you think that? We realistic...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

DM has bled this squad dry and thought he could survive in both the PL and the Europa League with a 13 man squad. The EL is not to be mixed up with the ECL in terms of quality. Which brings us back to the squad and the bench. Take nothing away from Moyes' achievements here, but this is another flaw...

Re: West Ham Utd v Bayer Leverkusen: match thread (2nd leg)

I will of course be there giving my 110% support Thursday, but i'd be lying if I said I feel anything positive about this game.

Think we could be in for a hiding and a bitter end to our three year European journey.

Very attacking line up imo. Moyes knows we have to win this.

Re: Where will we finish?

It’s us Man Utd and Newcastle for top 6/7. Chelsea have a tough end to the season and are all over the place as a club so I’m not too concerned about them. I think Newcastle will end up getting 6th leaving us and Man Utd for that final European spot (on the basis that we don’t get the extra CL spot)...

Feel dirty saying it but we need a Spurs win here really.

Re: Crush/Stewarding at Leverkusen.

The same thing happened at Freiburg to a lesser extent. There’s no separate entrances to the lower and upper tiers so everyone just piles into the lower.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Got home late last night from Baden Baden. I tell you what, the airport is a bit naff but the actual place itself is lovely if anyone finds they’re around that neck of the woods in the future! The game was an odd one. For 80 minutes they generally caused no trouble, to a point where for the last ten...

Re: Where will we finish?

I think we’re going to get pipped by Newcastle to finish 8th, which is really frustrating after the ref and VAR cheated us out of last weeks six pointer. I’m still so angry about that. Could 8th get us in the European Conference next season? I see it debated above but still not sure if the PL get 5...

Re: Where will we finish?

I think getting 12 points will be a tough ask, we’ve only won 3 of our last 13, so we’ll do well to win 4 out of our remaining 6, especially as we play Man C and Liverpool and have Europe to contend with. I see us getting closer to either 8 or 9, which may just be enough to get 8th, but it could al...

Re: Where will we finish?

60 points gets you Europe but we need to win 5 out of 7 to get that. It’s a stretch too far sadly which makes the Villa, Burnley and Sheffield United games look all the more frustrating. We're on 48 points so we need 4 wins (to get to 60 points), that's also assuming: Newcastle pick up 12 points (t...

Re: Fixtures March 29th- 4th April

Looking at the remaining fixtures I think it’s between us and Newcastle for 7th spot.

Chelsea have still got to play us, villa, Brighton, arsenal, spurs and a forest side who will be fighting for their lives.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

We’ve had way worse decisions go against us than Wolves did at the end. The bloke is standing in front of Fabianski in an offside position. It’s not even subjective that is the law.

This season is starting to look very much like last season, except we had a decent first half this time to bail us out.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

We clearly play better as a 4-2-3-1 with Antonio up front, Alvarez comes back and we revert back to this. Sh*te.
