Re: ✍ Kurt Zouma
Had the reaction and outcry not been quite as ridiculous, the supporters may not have rallied behind Zouma as vociferously. I know personally in the end I got so fed up of the absolute nonsense being banded about in terms of him losing his job, death threats etc, that I hoped he played, played well ...

Re: Zouma: Catgate
This whole sorry episode shows that football and the media morals are all over the shop. Newcastle owners basically murdered a journalist in their embassy and put gay people in jail The World Cup is in a country where immigrants die daily and was only awarded due to everyone in power being bribed. M...

Re: Zouma: Catgate
Moyes made the right call. The longer this went on the longer the cloud would have been hanging over us for when he played again. Let the club take their internal action, allow any due process to take place in terms of the RSPCA/Police and then we move on whatever those outcomes are. In the meantime...

Re: Zouma: Catgate
I don't think I've seen any reference to the word excuse other than those saying it isn't one.
Of course it isn't.
It's just about context and how we try and move forward positively.

Re: ✍ Kurt Zouma
He's not a kid fresh off the bus from Lyon. He's a grown-ass man of 27 who's been plying his trade here in the UK for something like 8 years. I'm not buying this idea that he couldn't have known that his jolly cat-smacking hijinks wouldn't have gone down all that well over here. "Couldn't have...

Re: ✍ Kurt Zouma
Whilst I agree that's a good view point in general, Zouma is French born and bred. He's muslim and from a large central african family. They aren't excuses, but I think there's a context issue. Do you honestly think Declan Rice would boot his cockapoo around his lounge? Tonight is a celebration of ...

Another to add to the foe list alongside IB. :newthumb: Enjoy your echo chamber. I think some weight has to be given to other cultures and their approach to animals. Wouldn't it be good if we could arrive at a positive lesson for Zouma and young people that it's just not how you treat animals? I ju...

Re: Possession by zone
Shows how strong we've been at left back and building from a base in left midfield, I think of Rice carrying the ball and Cresswell.
Also highlights where our head has gone at right back a little. Minor weak spot these days, Coufal right off the ball.

It's idiotic, but I can't get that that exercised about it. I'd certainly play him tonight if I was the manager.

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
Second half upset me yesterday. All the stick Noble has taken over the last few years from complete morons. The bloke hasn't seen barely any improvement in quality around him for 16 years. That's why managers have continued to pick him. He's weary and I don't blame him. Every single player yesterday...

I dont think you can watch Bournemouth much if you think they play anything like an Allardyce side.

Re: Who Next? The odds
There's a couple key points that work in our favour in terms of Howe and the choice between us and Everton. His family being one. There is the suggestion he won't work North of Watford again, as he doesn't plan to move the children again. His right hand man Jason Tindall is a big West Ham fan. Of co...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller
We are still attacking like Haller is an Arnie type, running channels and pressing the opposition. He finds himself isolated and will continue to until we adapt and get players a bit closer to him. Arnie could operate without a player within 30 yards of him. Haller can't but has other strengths. He ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend
Some of the touches yesterday, little movements to gain space. Looked like he is a man lifting his game again to those around him. He's absolutely cruising in that midfield spot. Makes the game look so easy - he's got plenty in the tank left if he can play the way he is at the moment. Not comparing ...

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Always laughed how Adrian took the flack for the Watford goal that Ginge let bounce about 3 times, by which time Adrian must have wondered if he was going to deal with it. I'm delighted for Adrian. Our number one now is marginally better at most things, Adrian still superb for a 1 on 1 and a pen sav...
