Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

I’m sure it’s hurting him as much as anyone, but it’s obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that he should be nowhere near a Premier League starting XI nowadays. Also, as a side point, I have brought this up before. His shooting technique still remains the worst I’ve seen from a midfielder at this l...

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham United:Match thread (24/02)

The are better in almost every aspect. Not a single player of ours would make it into their starting lineup. There are a number who wouldn’t even make the bench. Their manager is one of the very best in Europe. Ours is a Merry-Go-Round man deemed insufficient for our purposes in 2018 only to be reh...

Vital result for us, that. We need to keep the other clubs as close to us as possible as we head into this tough run.

Feel for those who’ve made the effort to travel from afar in these conditions.

I was about to set off for the match myself until I got the notification that it had been postponed.

I’m guessing the tickets will still be valid for the replay?

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

This season I’ve generally been a bit “meh” in regards to losses and have usually been getting over them within a couple of hours. Yesterday’s result felt different though. To go from such comfort at 3-1 up as Brighton were barely threatening, to being the catalyst for our own downfall which led to ...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

We’ve played well enough to get six points against Everton and Brighton at home in recent weeks but have come away with just two due to our soft underbelly. Every single one of our defenders has a mistake in them. While they can all individually play well sometimes, it seems that it is too much to a...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Isn’t it sad that if we managed to get two remarkable points in our next two fixtures against City and Liverpool, we’d still only have the same amount of points that we would have done if we didn’t **** up so calamitously yesterday. We really do find ourselves in a dire situation.

Re: Snodaldinho

I presume he’ll be one who will stay if (when) we get relegated which would be great for us. Who else do people think we would be able to keep hold of that would be worthwhile? Would Fab stay? Fredericks I think would, along with Cresswell, of course Noble, Diangana and other youngsters. It’s diffic...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

Here’s to (hopefully) one of his better displays as he has insurance from Rice and Soucek. How did he last 90 minutes? After about 60 minutes it was clear as day that he couldn't run anymore (not that he barely could prior to that). Everything from that point bypassed him and it was the main reason...

Would happily take a default 3-0 loss and for this match never to be played.

Re: How much do you care about relegation?

By this point, does it really matter? If we stay up, we’ll just be asking the same questions next year, and so on and so forth until we do eventually go down anyway. It would be fun to see the owners squirm at least.

 Finally get our much deserved goal and we concede straight away from a corner. Doesn’t get much more West Ham than that.

Haller needs to book up on his finishing.

Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

With Antonio (hopefully) back in the squad I think that we’ll win. And while last night was hardly a vintage performance, I also don’t think we were as bad last night as people were making out.

It could be an ugly win but it would be a massive three points nonetheless.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Thought it was a strange decision playing Lanzini ahead of Fornals before the match and it’s even more evident now. He looks so lightweight and is doing nothing to influence the game when he does get a chance on the ball. Sad to see.

Re: clouded by the mists of time

I remember us being strongly linked to him in our season in the Championship under Big Sam, but Everton pipped us to him he had a fantastic start to life with them. We’d have probably gone up automatically if we managed to get him.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Showed tactical flexibility today. Said he would take the cup seriously, and lived up to his word. Hopefully he can keep the momentum going Yep. Great decision to play three at the back as our defenders dealt with their crosses all day long. It’ll be interesting to see what formation he goes with a...

Re: New Year's Day other matches

It’s a weird one. Despite our horrific form, I never really had a feeling that we’d end up going down. But looking at the table now, with the form of those around us, reality is kicking in.

Good luck, Moyes.

Danny Ings now on 13 goals for the season. Wonder what it’s like to have a striker who scores goals.
