Re: Newcastle Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread
Big game for both clubs, I think we are evenly matched, they have a better defence, we have more talent in the front end. My worry is that they have pace to burn up front with that little Didicoy wippett on the right and Isaacs, although if he gets the ball in the pocket Isaacs likes to have a littl...

Re: Declan Rice
He was a great player for us, now he is not. We got 3 players off the back of it. 2 who are world class in Álvarez and Kudus, those two combined make it all worth while. Everyone did well out of it, consign his name where it belongs, in the history books. Give him a clap or boo whatever takes your ...

Napoleon Scott 2023 Slightly underwhelming if I'm honest. It looks lovely, but then so does the majority of Apple TVs output. The battle scenes are well done but Joaquin seems bored with the whole thing. At something over two and a half hours it doesn't drag at the same time it's not particularly i...

Re: Sam's ear
We played terribly and won. I was at the game. From a professional perspective, the win is everything, rotten night, Hull were awful, we weren't much better, Noble doing the 360 pirouette on the ball and playing sideways and backwards all night and got booed for his troubles. Some supporters in the ...

Re: Declan Rice
I also think he'll end the season with either the Champions League or Premier League, Arsenal are no mugs this season, and that's because Rice has elevated them another level. No chance of either. You don't loose twice to West Ham in a season and win either. And I suggest the way they rolled over i...

Rolling Stones. Where's a good in point? All of it, and there is a lot, so maybe an anthology album - Their output is incredible from the get go in the 60's, Paint it Black, Get off of my Cloud, Satisfaction, Lets Spend the Night Together, Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Sympathy for the Devi...

Re: Ben Johnson
Doesn't have to be true. In a 25 man squad there's room for a handful of players that wouldn't be first choice anywhere but can provide serviceable back up for a few positions. Assume we qualify for Europe again, there's probably 10-12 games across the season where you'd be happy with him starting ...

Re: Ben Johnson
From a footballing perspective offering Ben a new deal effectively means we stand still at right back, surely our aim should be to improve the depth of squad in that position by signing a player who will push Coufal into the understudy role as we have done on the left hand side?

Walker, TAA, Trippier, James, Livramento, Lewis, Gomez. All better, as good, as versatile or more potential than White, save for TAA (a big "when fit" for James obviously). Foolish of him not to take the chance to stake his claim this week, probably would have got a chance to start a game...

That Doku challenge is a clear foul based on precedent and a pen, I recall Carlton Cole getting sent off v Everton @ UP when his foot was lower than Doku's for serious foul play, Carlton Cole and serious foul play just don't compute, the guy doesn't have mean bone in his body or soul.

He's turning 61 in a few weeks. A stage in life, when other aspects, the one's outside of football become more and more important. When Celtic or Scotland come calling he will go. Summer would be a perfect time for him to do that. On balance I think he should be offered a new deal, our cup and leag...

I still don't understand why it's government's business to tell the PL, other than paying its taxes what it must do with its money. I don't disagree that it's in the PL's interest to financially support lower levels, but I can't see why this particular sport should have a government regulator impos...

I prefer modest, humble, hard working managers. I would much rather give the Ipswich guy a go than Klopp or Guardiola. Of the three only one would be proud to manage West Ham United.
I think Moyes is proud to manage us as well, its why he is stung by the criticism
