Are we turning our nose up at 7th now?!

Two years ago we were fighting relegation.

Games in hand aren't guaranteed wins, we still have to play Tottenham and Arsenal again too. There's a long way to go regardless of the result in this game.
Some have taken "we are massive" literally.

Re: Netflix and Amazon Video

After Life S3 Netflix Eps 1 & 2 feel a little like a pause for breath after the white light brilliance of S's 1 & 2. But S3 takes flight again in ep3 and soar's into the stratosphere along with the previous 2 in ep 4. Gervais in creating one of the great TV series has made a huge rod for hi...

Re: Russian troop build up on Ukraine border.

There'll be some sort of false flag event, "attacks on ethnic Russians" most likely. The Russians will invade, they'll annex the "Russian" bits that are already rebelling. The west/NATO will shake their fists and complain. There'll be UN resolutions about stopping fighting and d...

For me it's a question of time/era played in plus the club's position/outlook....legends to me should show strength in values as much as on the field successes. Loyalty, commitment and hard work are as valuable to a club as loads of goals

Re: Michail Antonio: club legend?

So by your rationale... Matt Le Tissier, not a Southampton legend . Alan Shearer, not a Newcastle legend . Robin Friday, not a Reading legend , even. It seems the fans of those three clubs (the first three that sprung to mind, there are of course many more) don't share your view. I agree with our c...

Re: Which is the odd one out?

While I am sure that the natch day income kept one or two afloat the reality is that pubs all over the country are closing. In my own home town there are more that have closed than remain open. The advent of supermarkets selling very cheap drink meant people didn't go to pubs. It was not unusual in ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread

We were woeful, yet might have snatched a point at the death. Probably one game to many in a week and it left the players a bit short of energy.

Absouletely flying with confidence currently. Looked dangerous every time he gets the ball.

Very much reminds me of Arjen Robben.

We eed to be building the team around him and Dec.
Were 4th, we have.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Norwich City: rescheduled match thread

I have been saying for more than a few games we are slightly off it. We know that we will turn up for Man U (well 99.9% sure as we usually do for the big boys), so are we now as a team in that place that we can take the foot off a bit in these games and get through for the 3 points??? Sounds a bit ...

Not sure why some of the chaps down at Millbank can't help out. I think a fair few people do. He's good at carrying the ball forwards at pace, but direct assists and goals do not appear to be a natural part of his game.
He'll build them into his game as he has other aspects of his current game.

That's a pretty good "Boris Grrrr" and given the current circumstances I think we needed that. :newthumb: As for the bold bit, plenty voted for him simply because he was the only one promising to get us out of the EU. Despite someone in China coughing he's done that, some will rightly fee...

It didn't happen everywhere.

It created everywhere.

But its just a pair of alliterative syllables that reductively mean everything mankind could ever know.
yep, there was no "everywhere" in a way our physics can relate.

The manager who has given us the best two league seasons in living memory is a busted flush fraud and is just the beneficiary of external influences ?
