Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I've said for months, it'll be one out of Cooper, Potter or Benitez. I think Cooper would do alright, he has experience working for a chaotic owner and having players bought for him. Cooper or Potter and I am keeping my ST renewal money in my pocket. If we are to make a change it must be for a mana...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Coufal is a great example, I've been trying to find one of his earlier interviews with the club. He 100% talked about how he wants to get the ball down and play but is encouraged to just get the ball in the stands if there is pressure. I wish I could find the actual quotes so I could back this up b...

Not sure, mate. I had a poke around & couldn't find anything. We could always guess. "Did the black president go bankrupt 4 times?". "Did the black president publicly cheat on his wife & brag about sexual assault?". "Did the black president organise a terrorist atta...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Would you take Mourinho? Frank McAvennie thinks we should, citing he would sort our defence out and on that, he does have a point Thats not even a question is it? One of the greatest coaches of the last thirty years, a guy who cut his teeth and worked miracles with Porto, we would be mad not to app...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

What's the point it Steidten is picking players now? We need a plan tbh, everyone on the same page. We have had Husillos, sully/salthouse, Newman and now lear jet Tim all deciding policy in the last 5 seasons. If Steidtens the guy then he is the guy. Get a manager that will work with him and leave ...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Lst one on this game before my weekly Friday visit to the "Spotless Mind" clinic to prepare for Sunday. Why no Ings? He holds it up well and links play up the park where we needed to get to draw? I'd have hooked JWP at 70/75mins for Ings personally.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I'm sorry are we really trying to claim Ward-Prowse hasn't been a good signing? I am not a big fan of his open play game, no denying his impact but we need two DM's if he plays as he's a yard to slow for a deep lying role, and he cannot play in a two with Soucek, between them they have the speed an...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Sometimes european games are dead after the first leg (see brighton). The aim was to keep it alive. It's slipping into unconciousness but it still has a pulse. It's really pointless to say we lost this game because of who we didn't sign in January. Maybe we lost it because alvarez got a pointless b...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

All hypothetical though isn't it? Maybe not last night, but had no one left in January then who's to say that the 20 minutes or so cameos that Fornals , Benrahma or Kehrer had played in games since then might have resulted in some fresher legs on the park last night. Same argument might have meant ...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Sullivan is largely to blame for not getting replacements (and thus leaving us short), but not for actually getting rid of Benny, Kehrer and Fornals. Moyes had no real desire to use them when they were fit and available What gals me about our current success under Moyes is that Sullivan never wante...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

JWP was the one who lost his place when Moyes finally played four forwards against Freiburg at home and Villa, two of our better results in recent months. Oddly enough started against Freiburg away and we lost, and he also got hooked at halftime against Burnley. That's a £35m midfielder when we don...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Completely agree. We need more players. But Moyes has spent £35m on Aguerd, isn't playing him, spent £35m on JWP and benched him, championed Phillips and he's been awful. £17m on Cornet and doesn't want to play him. £10m on Ings and doesn't want to play him. Do the club believe in his ability to us...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

You’d think him leaving here would be the end of the world for the club, this club is far bigger than David Moyes, and while I’ll thank him for the progression he has provided, it doesn’t have to end once he goes. Very fair comments, and it doesn't have to end when he goes, which he will. But a gla...
