Re: Bristol City v West Ham United :Replay match thread

Looking back at the goal last night the following points struck me on reflection:- While Cornet's pass wasn't the greatest someone with a bit of pace may have have been able to at least challenge for the ball and therefore prevent the events that followed. If you watch Zouma's position when Mavropan...

Re: ⚽West Ham Utd v Arsenal: match thread

Excellent result. Arsenal had a lot of possession but most of it was passing from side to side or backwards. They didn't have much cutting edge which is is illustrated by the number of saves Fabianski didn't have to make! Once again though the Sky narrative focused on how Arsenal weren't at their be...

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: match thread 01/01

Superb team performance against a team we never get anything from especially at Goodison. Thought Ogbonna was tremendous yet again but I think a shout out should go to Craig Dawson. There were many (me included) who thought we would never see him in the side except in an emergency. He has however be...

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread

I genuinely believe that with ones like that you should be able to give a penalty AND book Salah for simulation. Same with the Lamela one against Man Utd when Martial got sent off. Send the player off, but book the lad for chucking himself on the floor. It’s the only way to stop this nonsense. If i...

Unbelievable. (No it isn't really). 50 mins before any real mention. I despair sometimes (no most of the time really)

Re: January transfer window

Thank **** I was working last night and missed all the silly bollox of deadline day. Same old ****, it's like groundhog day. The only bright spot being Ginge is still here. I know nothing about Hugill but wish him well and hope he doesn't become the stick to beat the clowns in charge with. Totally ...

Thinking of driving there and hoping on the tube.
You might also want to try Debden. Free street parking there. I drive in from Chelmsford and have used this and Loughton (there are more restrictions at Loughton but weekends and evenings are fine)

Re: what pub have you been in today ? Rate it out of 10

After the game today. Barley Mow, Baker Street Really good pub this, a fair range of ales on, have seen better in the past, mainly from the West Berkshire Brewery. Had a pint of "Skiff", would rate it about 7/10 for a basic bitter at 3.6%. I'd recommend it if you are in the area. Bree Lou...

Re: West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread

Cracking game: What I really liked was when Byram came on a number of players went up to him to give him encouragement in what must have been a nerve racking moment.

Team spirit seems to be top notch and augers well for the coming period.

all booked in block 125

an observation. I was logging in my details at 9.04 and there was no sign of any £100 tickets. Not that I would have wanted one but it would have been nice to have the choice. Surely they couldn't have all gone in 4 mins? :

He wasn't offside because the ball came off Nolan - ie a back pass. At least, that was my assumption.[/quote] Correct. Disappointing display. Cole was isolated for most of the game. Even when he controlled the ball there was rarely anyone available to take a pass. Love him or hate him (and let's fac...

Re: Cardiff City V West Ham Utd: match thread

Just about the perfect away performance. Faye outstanding at the back, in fact thw hole back 4 looked solid. Nolan had I feel his best game for the club and Noble must have covered every blade of grass. BFS certainly did his homework and had the team pressing all over the pitch which totally restric...

Re: West Ham Utd v Crystal Palace: match thread

First post so be gentle! Been supporting the club for almost 50 years, first match sometime in the mid 60s as a 7/8 year old. Started attending regularly in season 76/77 and perhaps missed on average 1 home a season since then, season ticket holder since 1980. Whilst disappointing not to win yesterd...
