Re: Who Next? The odds

Everton players reportedly asked to stay behind today after training to be addressed by Moshiri and Kenwright so it looks like they're biting the bullet. Moyes favourite there, so we can bank on them staying up.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

A decent manager is a decent manager irrespective of who they supported as a boy or played for. Thats why I dont get the call for the Cowleys, Howe with Jason T, or Scott Parker primarily on their West Ham connections. Make no mistake the Cowleys direct brand of football is not based on the West Ham...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Woy ain't doing too bad at Palace. Can you imagine the uproar on here if he had been appointed? Yet he has got Palace organised, recruited decent proven Prem quality players and they will be nowhere near the relegation zone. They defend resolutely, have bite in midfield and attack with pace and are...

Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

You do wonder whether any sort of forward thinking goes on when we go after strikers.
It was like we when we were after Giroud or Hernandez. On what planet are they similar players to fit a desired style? Haller excelled as part of a two in Germany. So, we play him up front on his own.

Re: ⚽ Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United: Match Thread

is there a side that attacks with at such a pedestrian pace as us? It's like my stream is buffering even when it isn't.

Quite frankly if Haller is only ever going to be played as a lone striker what's the point of keeping him in January. He adds nothing.

Re: Amazon

The more people turn their back on attending televised games, the less appealing it would become for the likes of Sky and Amazon to broadcast games in front of half empty stadiums. Admission prices would then become more realistic because part of the original appeal of the Premier league is top clas...

Managers like Dyche, who have little to work with, know how to utilise the attributes of their players to give them the best advantage.
They also know where the players from the Championship who can make step up are.

Re: Who Next? The odds

I'm starting to warm to the idea of Eddie Howe. But in 2 years time we'll probably be having the same debate about how useless he is (if he comes here) and who should be next. Welcome to the crazy f@@@d up world of West Ham. I think you're right, because the expectations that we would move to "the ...

Re: Who Next? The odds

The one excuse I don't get about the media and Ex ruling Howe as unlikely is he would be too expensive to bring in. Well unless I am mistaken isn't Howe out of contract in 2020!? That means he only has almost half a season to go. So surely he wouldn't cost that much in compensation. :? If anything,...

Re: Who Next? The odds

Both Dyche & Howe have built squads with a much higher than average percentage of British players, about 2/3. Our squad is 2/3 foreign imports. Something to consider and I'm sure it won't have been lost on the club's decision makers. I agree - Wilder has done exactly the same at Sheff Utd too. Brit...

Sullivan would be aware of what the players thought of Moyes - and maybe even had a recent discussion with Noble on his possible return.

Re: Who Next? The odds

Mark, how do we know Moyes has struggled to get a job? Do you know how many he’s applied for or how desperate he’s been to work in management again? Multimillionaires with regular work in the media tend not to be desperate to apply for any job, I’d guess.

Moyes won't happen as IMO Everton will lose their next game and Silva will be sacked first. Thus Everton will get Moyes before we do.
Kenwright wants Moyes, Moshiri doesn’t though is what I’ve read. Either way you can bet we face a new Arsenal manager in 12 days time.

There may be mitigating circumstances with his poor form but again, was there any other foreign import of ours who has looked as out of their depth on joining, then come good? I can’t think of one. Buying the best from the Championship plus experienced Prem players as Palace have done in Cahill, Tow...

Re: Who Next? The odds

If £10m in compensation would be the cost of Dyche, that’s the equivalent I’d guess of 6 league places TV money? It’s just possible he could generate that through his appointment
